Phone Auto-Turing Off

Help!

Everyone knows about the auto closing of programs on the Omnia 2. I had the same problem. I did the registry edit -- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\LowMem\ProgramMem-- and changed it to 32 / 64 (two different settings to see if I can solve my problem). The problem is I do get a better memory management with increasing the ProgramMem value to either 32 or 64 however, I noticed that everyday my phone turns off. I mean when the screen is locked, I can’t even wake it up by holding the lock key. To top things off, I can’t even turn off the phone or turn on the phone by holding the power button. It is like the phone becomes dead. The only way to fix the problem is to take the back cover off and pull out and put back the battery.

The problem I face is that I don’t know when this happens exactly because the phone is screen locked and in my pockets. The issue at hand is that sometimes I am waiting for urgent phone calls but then when I don’t get them I realize the phone is in this state of no response.

Any ideas and any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Same problem here. Just re-insert my battery for an hour ago. Mine, didn't change any registry. It just happened 3 or 4 times since I own my Omnia 2 for one month. As I noticed, it is rather relate to ROM that I use. Now I use LEO2 by RFD. :(

I was facing the same problem with the JA5 ROM. I need to remove the battery ...

Peculiar behavior... but with the phone "locked" , If I make a call to my phone... I have line tone..... but the phone is dead WTF?¿?¿?¿?

After 5 times... I flashed the phone with the new JB1. for now... my phone is free of hungs.

Does anyone think it could be related to increasing the ProgramMem value?

My phone uses:

PDA: I8000LUGIJ6

CSC: I8000LBMCIJ6

PHONE: I8000LUGIJ6

I don’t think it is related to the ROM because I just recently started to have this problem. I used the phone 2 months without this problem. Any answers?

I didn't face the problem while using JB1 neither. Maybe not used it long enough.
