Guest malez Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 Sorry @malez, the file is corrupt. Can you upload again? thx! I have checked and the file is correct. try to redownload it and check that the file you have downloaded is correct with md5sum tool (use malezrecovery_0.5.img.md5 file) and this tool for example http://www.md5summer.org/download.html You can also try to download it with another browser or after cleaning your brownser cache. Keep me informed please.
Guest mirox3m Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 I have checked and the file is correct.... Confirmed! Just it installed it without any problems.
Guest Barleyman Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 Daft question. As far as I understand, zapping this on top of vanilla 1.6 firmware does NOT wipe the phone or apps? So I could install the recovery image and use either nandroid and/or titanium backup to copy the apps so I don't have to reinstall everything when I change to LCR or some other 2.1 firmware?

Guest pipajoja Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 installed and working great! thanks =D just an idea, i dunno if it's possible, but i think it would be cool if there is a function, that we can undo the last flash instead of restoring the whole system, that would take much less time i suppose? anyway just an idea

While I am writing I am thinking that that could be done but will need a lot of development. Always do a full nandroid backup is the easiest way for the moment (for both of us).

Use the recovery to to do it : Partition/Repair scard -> Parition sd. Create at least a 512 Mb parition All data on you sd will be lost.

Guest malez Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks, Vincent I need more info : What rom are you using ? What version of the malez recovery are you using ? What operation have you made exactly ? You can try to do a factory reset in the recovery's wipe menu. You will lose all you apps/settings but it will boot. If you want to change your roms to one that support apps2sd, I advice you to use LCR. The thread in this forum is here : http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...eeded-08-04-10/ If you are french i can advice you a good site too. Hope you will fix.
Guest Borkata Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 malez your recovery is doing only moving of applications for apps2sd or installing deamon itself? I think Vincent is trying to use apps2sd on stock, which is not impossible, but you should have a deamon installed and added to init sequence and also if I remember correctly sdcard (or it was sd) folder in the root ;) Maybe if you don't install apps2sd deamon you can add an option in your recovery ;)

Thanks, Vincent - Standard rom does not support apps2sd (I have not finished to write my boot image for standard rom) - You must update malez recovery to 0.5.2 to be uptodate - Your parition is prepared but your rom does not support it. Move everything back to phone LCR rom supports dutch and has dutch keyboard with T9 mode (HTC IME).

Everything is back on the phone i think.. by Apps/Dalvik/Cache current status it says that everything is stored on the phone. I think the best option is to wipe data/factory reset ?? Thanks, Vincent
Guest Vincent227 Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Is wipe data/factory the best option ?? yes/no
