Concerns about Flashing ROMs- Help !!!

Hello everyone,

I bought my Phone in Saudi Arabia. It had WM 6.1 on it. Phone details were :

PDA : I8000JVIJ1

CSC : I8000ARBIJ1

PHONE : I8000XXIJ1

I couldn't upgrade with Samsungs NPS or the FUS downloader on Monaco.

Took to the Service Center and they upgraded to WM 6.5. The phone details now are :

PDA : I8000NXXJA1

CSC : I8000ARBIJ1

PHONE : I8000XXIJ1

Now it doesn't have Touchwiz. My concerns are:

1. If I flash a stock or custom ROM, how will I go back to the original in case I have to take it back to the Service Center.

2. My phone now with 6.5 has an XDAShutDown button, so I think it is not the original ROM from Samsung. What do you think ?

3. Is there a ROM here with Touchwiz ?

4. Why would anyone want to flash the CSC ? Since I believe it could cause network problems.

Please Advice. Thanks.

Also wanted to know if anyone who has updated their phone to WM 6.5 using NPS lost the Touchwiz UI or not.

here what i can answer:

1- don't think guys in service center have older versions, u have to ask them, there is a program from "sorg" can extract ur current rom and saved to your mem card in case or u want to go back, search for it.

2- no, its not original rom, must be custom one, if you like original rom, try secany roms.

3- dont know

4- as per to my experience, CSC effect language and some programs in the mobile, never had a problem with network, currently i am using JA5 official for PDA and XSGJA3 for CSC, this CSC, gave my mobile Arabic support , also if u like it will make all your phone in Arabic, even start button from the right!! :(
