it's so basic nobody's even asking them for some reason...

1: how do you access files in the Windows directory from PC? it would be a pain to do everything on the phone with such a large number of files.

2: how do you take screenshots?

using direct connection to USB will show the device in the Windows Explorer. it will show both device and My Storage as drives. unhide all system files under Tools > Options (still in Winexplorer). From there you can now view the contents of /Windows

I don't have "tools"......

I always had the system memory section, but no Windows folder.

oh nvm I got it, never thought you have to show system files for the entire PC to make it work....

but still I cannot edit any files in /Windows...... how come you all just automatically knew how to do this man, it's not like I'm a new PC user or anything.

OK, you cann't edit files directly in windows directory because they (most of files) are parts of the ROM, so they are write protected.

This is very hard to access windows directory, Windows explorer make very long time to show you the contents.

Solution: use a third party sofware such as Resco Explorer or Total Commander and navigate directly inside your PDA (don't forget to show all files inside own settings).

Both of them can overight ROM files by "copy to..." or classic COPY/PAST.

Because of windows directory is too hard to acess thrue ActiveSync, I allways send files anywhere in my PDA, and copy (or move) to windows
