Guest XeOS Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Strange specification for text based OS. It look like Wisbar Advance desktop. Windows Phone 7 UI is built in Silverlight, definitely not Wisbar...
Guest Apolousm Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 (edited) Well I had already read about this, and I must say that I am very disappointed of Windows Mobile Devices, specially about Samsung's devices. I bougth the Omnia II because of the software, but I have found too many problems. I had an HTC touch and that phone was perfect, but I wanted a biggest screen and somethong different to taste. Now, Microsoft says that windows mobile 7 based devices needs a 1mghz processor and just three hardware buttons. Well the Omnia has the fuccc...ing three buttons, but it hasen't (for example) a simple and tinny and VERY :( , VEEERYY... :( VEEERYYYYYY :( USEFULL navigation key.; and of course it hasen't the needed processor. I am really tired of this phone, and now, knowing this news much more... I'm going back to HTC, at least I didn't have the kind of troubles I'm facing with the Omnia II... My only hope is the realse of android for the Omnia II Edited March 2, 2010 by Apolousm
Guest Ender Psp Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 Again, many people angry about specifications. These things happen. Take for example people who just bought a tv set, to find out in a couple of months that it's obsolete for BluRay 3D and they will probably need to replace either the lcd or the whole set. Was that obvious? No. If it makes you feel better, no existent phone supports WinMo7. Period. If you want that, get an Iphone or wait for WinMo7. Ah, and for the haters, a thought: WinMo 6.5 won't be going away (just read more) and Win7 will be backwards compatible with the apps, but not the interface. As soon as you get that, we can move on and continue to do good stuff.

Anyone who has bought a phone recently on the hope that it will be able to run win7 and is now upset you've only got yourself to blame, but as with a lot of things theres always some who can port, tweak or customize things to run on different machines so relax and enjoy what you have and you never know you might not even like windows 7?
Guest Apolousm Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 I think that we can't compare a windows mobile based device with a TV set. Ok, you're right, if I buy the TV set and in a couple of months its going to be obsolete, but the point is that Samsung's WM 6.5 has a lot of problems. Ok, it can't be perfect, I understand that, but the Omnia is incomplete. I didn't bought my Omnia because of the WM7, I bought it becuase of the Windows Live advantages. But I am really disappointed with the phone. I don't complain about the software, I am mad about the phone, IT IS INCOMPLETE... well it doesn't matter, i'm selling the phone anyway. See ya guys.
