Guest Willz Posted March 4, 2010 Report Posted March 4, 2010 Well, I rang them up and she's going to have someone ring me again when they're in stock to reinstate my order, or something. UGHH. This is not a good start for T-Mobile, I'm not very happy. :(
Guest Willz Posted March 5, 2010 Report Posted March 5, 2010 Okay, T-Mobile are going up in my books now. They rang me this morning.. while I was still asleep though, but they have some in stock now, so I'll either have it tomorrow or monday. :( Just wondering, since no one answered me before, does the Facebook app count as using the internet? I mean, would it cost if I didn't have free internet? Oh, and also, how easy is it to hack?

T-Mobile have the best Internet deal that I know of, so It shouldn't cost too much to keep free Internet (£10 top-up a month or 6months for £20). It's exceedingly easy to hack, see the top of this forum for details.

Guest Willz Posted March 5, 2010 Report Posted March 5, 2010 £20 for 6 months, that's not bad really. Well, I have the first 6 months free anyway, so it's not that much of an issue. <_< I really hope mine arrives tomorrow!

I had to take my Hero in for repair so needed a phone, I had bought a cheap £20 PAYG basic phone, but once you had Android you can't go back, so as you can see from my earlier post decided to bite the bullet and go for the Pulse. The only thing with my previous experience I couldn't wait for Friday, then Monday to come and they still didn't have the phone in stock. To me the price I paid is still good for a decent Android phone, already running Paul's Kitchen ROM with Vanilla ain't no looking back. Can you let us know if T-Mobile came through with your phone and when it was delivered (just trying to justify my actions to myself <_<) Edited March 6, 2010 by masterpfa
Guest Willz Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 Just to let you know, my phone arrived this morning while I was out, but luckily my step dad got the ticket they left and went to pick it up from the post office. So it only took one day to get here, which is GREAT!
Guest Willz Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 I can't access the Android store, do I have to wait for most of the phone to work? D:
Guest brack Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 My subjective opinion is if you want cool look, large screen, android experience for little money, then Pulse is your choice, but from the other point of view - Pulse is the first smartphone that I cannot setup for the second month now. Android in general have a HUGE drawback - it doesnt allow you to install apps on SD card. I used to have Palm and Windows Mobile 6 and 6.5 and I love linux but Android feels like a pain very often. Google doesnt want to do anything about installing apps to SD and since NOT Google producing hardware, the hardware is designed with low internal memory which means yo will end up with memory overload. There are solutions like apps2sd but they require rooting and some other manipulations that are not designed for average user, besides, neither of those solutions are working smooth. Another drawback is closeness of the system, you cannot change too much in it, there is no theming out of the box, not much choices in settings menu, even Palm has more of it. closeness is very strange word for "open" source system though. Android looks to me now as it would be an experimental system, it is not quite ready for the phone, if you know what I mean. So, if you want android phone - Pulse is the best choice for low price, i you have more money, go for N1 or something else with more internal memory, otherwise I would suggest waiting for new symbian or windows 7.
