I want to get a Samsung i920 and flash it to Metro PCS, but I want to be sure I can do it first.

(It seems to be the top CDMA Phone available, someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I like the MOLED Display, Windows Mobile, and the 800Mhz Clock CPU.)

Will I be able to flash one to have talk, text, and html internet? If so, Can someone direct me to the right post or site?

I'm not a programmer, but I have worked on computers for 15 years and am quite savvy.

There's just too much Info out there to make sense of and It all seems to be consolidated here. Thanks to anyone for helping me out.

Hey whats up man, I just got my VZW Omnia 2 and that is exactly my intentions on flashing it to MetroPCS! I'm just trying to find the right ROM. I really love this one ( http://www.modaco.com/content/i8000-omnia-...released-today/ ) but, once I've flashed it I got no (Phone Radio Service) "I was wondering if the MetroPCS flashing would solve that issue" and I'll be on my way to get it done. To my knowledge I would say yes and the reason I say that is because my brother just flashed his VZW Droid Eris to MetroPCS. It's just a matter of who's willing to do it for you... Well I'll let you know how it goes soon hopefully... Glad to see someone out there with my same intentions and ideas on a nice phone with cheap service! Hope this helps in any way Keep intouch with me and hopefully we can help each other out on this! Thanks!

Yeah, I think we're on the right track hardware-wise. I think you're quite a bit ahead of me software-wise, though.

I'm still not quite understanding flashing altogether. I guess you're re-loading the whole OS? Or is it more of a set of instructions? Or just some specific lines of programming in the BIOS? Yeah, I'm a little confused, but I want to understand what I'm doing...... If possible.

I'm gonna put this on the original thread so we can get some more ROM suggestions and info. Thanks for the info!!
