Sorry in advance for asking (stupid) questions but I'm a TOTAL NOOB. I have an i8000L with WM6.5Pro and have several questions:

1. What will flashing ROM (to Secany's) change from status quo? My current settings are PDA: I8000LUGIJ6; CSC: I8000LBMCIJ6; Phone: I8000LUGIJ6.

2. Should I flash only the PDA (as per recommendations in Flashing Guide)?

3. To go ahead with flash, what are the steps? Do I download the 5 parts under PDA and install it using WHAT? Do I use "Downloader + Driver" (what is this?) or do I use Samsung_CDMA_modem_4_1_.34.zip

and/or OCTANS Downloader? What's the difference between Samsung_CDMA_modem_4_1_.34.zip and OCTANS Downloader?

Thanks.

Nobody has an answer? Is the question too stupid to even answer? Any info is greatly appreciated.

I have a i8000L as well.

1.) Just download the PDA part you should not flash phone/CSC. eboot can be done but there is a risk in brick the phone.

2.) I only flashed PDA.

3.) OCTANS is a flashing tool and is need to flash, samsung CDMA are drivers, if you are using win 7 find the new drivers in some of the thread and install those and make sure to run in xp mode.
