Hi there,

As you know, many phones from different countries say that the app store is not supported there. If your CSC doesn't support it, you'll neither see it from the default start menu as a link. But even if you go to its folder on the device and run the .exe, the above error appears.

So, my idea is, have anybody tried using a proxy (anonymous maybe), from an unsupported country, to route the connection there and make it work as if you were actually located there?

If so, please share your proxy settings (IP + port) for others to use and keep this alive, since it seems there are a couple of good applications there!

Thanks!

I saw someone saying, while installing app needs to select the country "UK" because in UK the Samsung App store is supported, I never tried this, there is no hard for you if you reinstall the application by selecting your country as "UK".

"Make sure to delete all the remaings in Registry" while uninstalling.

If it works by me a "CAR" not "BEER" <_<

Does anyone have a cab for this as i don't think the Verizon i920's come with it installed.

Well, I didn't installed it in my device; it already came with it so I can't actually "uninstall" it directly since there's no uninstall listed.

Any way to achieve this? And also, as Ninja, where's the CAB for this?

Thanks.

I have got it working like that as well and I could even download softwares, but I cannot install them on my phone. They are downloaded but install buttons are inactive. Any clues?

You can see a warning in download page, the only supported phones for the particular app download button is enabled oterwise its should be disables (or grayed), make sure your phone is connected in active-sync mode not mass storage mode. If you see your phone listed in kies you can install it without any problem. I think its just because your active sync is not activated in usb connections of general settings.

Hey guys, you are talking about the "Kies" app on the PC side!

I'm referring to the Application Store that's in the phone and that you can run going to "My Device\Program Files\ApplicationStore.exe"

It gives a #1004 error - "Service not available" if you are in an unsupported country. That's what I wanted to avoid, by using an anonymous proxy from another "supported" country. Do you understand me now?

Thanks!

I tried it when I was in the UK (supported country) so no proxy needed, but that didn't work. I think it's looking at your CSC (mine is for NL) not at the actual country you're in.

Did anybody try who flashed his phone as a UK version and run the app store in an unsupported country?
