Hi guys.

I have just received my Zagg invisibleSHIELD for my I8000 and I was wondering if anybody

has any tips or advice on the best way to fit it.

I am only asking because I have heard they can be a pain in the butt to put on.

It is the full body version.

I know about the website too, just wanted some personal experiences.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,

Matt.

I cannot give you any pointers because I think I did not do a proper fitting, but I like it. I got the full body one too, but I only put on back side since I had a nice screen protector. On the back side, before I put it on, I smeared a whole lot of the applicator liquid and started to smooth out the bubbles after it was placed on the back cover. I had to stretch some parts to fit it nicely; however, after everything was done I have these grooves on them. I actually like the grooves since it is uniform and it looks like a textured leather. It turned out well even though it probably was not supposed to be this way. Sorry I cannot give you any pointers, but it is not easy to fit it perfectly. <_<

Yes I agree with Polleoh.

Chk my reply here about invisible-shield. I dont suggest you the invisible-shield. Actually if you are going to put only in back panel as i did, its better, Invisible shield for whole body or front panel is not suggestible as Omnia 2 have too many curves and buttons on her body :( , so its seems impossible to fix, I tried two times by removing it, but no luck so removed from front panel and installed a good screen protector.

Note:Zagg shows applicator liquid as a sprayer in website but they send me a sponge dipped in the liquid, its a waste of money, i felt if there was a sprayer i can easily spray on body and on the sticker. Applying using sponge its too tough and it sticks to sponge before you fix it to Omnia <_<

I have zagg full pack on my i8000 too. and I have some tips:

1. spray makes the film slippy so you can move it as you want, use plenty. when you are satisfied its placement fix it with one hand and smooth out the bubbles with the other.

2. while you are implementing screen part, phone is gonna be off, and when you turn it on you will see all dust and hair and etc. that you didnt see, clean your phone, and install the "shield" in a clean dust free room.

3. look out for moving parts, like usb cover on top of i8000. if you dont align it correct, after a week or so, with opening and closing, it will wear off the misplaced edge.

4. dont think you cant damage the film, it is protective for one side, if you do anything inside part, it wont go away.

I think this is it. if you have any other questions I will be happy to answer.

Ok, after reading your replies and watching the video I gave it a go.

Totally agree with the sponge comment, what a joke that thing is.

At the moment it looks like crap but I will give it a day or two and decided what to do with it then.

Thanks for the advice.

Matt.

It takes a couple of days to settle in so don't give up just yet. Mine looked like crap the day after but improved significantly to day three.

You have to get out allmost all bubbles before it is dry, otherwise you'll have to keep them.

Mine took about a day to look normal on the surfaces and a couple more days for the edges to adhere properly, so don't strain it to much for the first few days.

I think mine might be stuffed then.

I still have 4 or 5 smallish bubbles (half a match-head size) on the back and a few on the front

There are also a few strange sort of streaky marks on the front piece too, I suck at Zagg installs..

Is it viable to remove the front, let it sit for a bit, then try it again?, or don't bother?

It looks OK indoors but outdoors is sucks more than it did before, which is a fair bit <_<

How does a tiny pinprick in the bubbles sound to settle them down, (back only)I am considering it...

Thanks,

Matt

You might damage the back cover. The material Zagg used is not your normal plastic.
