Guest insane73 Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 Is there a way to stop charging Omnia2 while connected to USB on laptop?
Guest ray1234 Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 no, there is no way to stop the charging. And why should you need that? When battery is fully charged, the phone will stop the charging automatically. For Li-ion batteries, you can rest assured the charger will do that, as otherwise it will explode. Also, Li-ion batteries does not have memory effects, and charging it constantly even when it is nearly full is actually good for maintenance of the battery. Charging only at low battery actually reduces the battery life, the best theoretically is to charge it at least when it is 50% full.
Guest teamkillexpert Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 well THE Omnia II battery has a capacity of 5.6 Wh. most laptops have like over 60Wh. so I think it shouldn't be much of a problem. I don't think there is a way to do it, but I sometimes do run into problems of it not charging.
