Thanks for a brilliant review CJ. You're lucky to be able to test phones like that :)

Personally i quite fancy HTC Nexus one (google) with 3.7-inch AMOLED and a 1GHz snapdragon processor (as in HD2). looks good spec and also running android 2.1. Both ROM and RAM is 512mb (4 times the RAM of omnia). Also i'm looking forward to the release of wm7, but i think those phones will be quite expensive.

At the moment it's only hypothetical as i haven't got the money for it but you can only dream...I think i'll stick with the omnia for another 6 months at least as it's a good phone that does all i want it to do..although it seems a lot of people are upgrading ;)

Hey Nick :P From what I have heard, the nexus one is pretty much the HD2 in a new chassis but with android instead of winmo, and a slightly smaller screen. Seems like a very nice bit of kit though ;) If you ever manage to get your hands on one (I dont think I will be any time soon B) ) Let us know what you thought about it on here :P Ive got kinda mixed feelings about it, it looks great, but I have also heard nightmare stories about it (like every phone really). If theyve managed to fix the problems I would really consider buying one, if your looking for a full touch device.

What do you think on winmo7? Ive not been overly wow'ed by it to be honest. I mean it looks quite cool, but the kernel change will mean everything from below 7 will get scrapped :| However, microsoft only allowing for 1ghz + devices means that the phones will be speedy :D (although expensive)

Have you tried the emulator yet? You can test out Winmo7 using Visual studio 2010 and a binary you can get hold of on XDA.

Whats the scene like over at omniarom? I havnt been on in ages, are people still sticking with the omnia? or are they upgrading over there too?

Im going to move very soon to HTC HD. Why ? Because omnia isnt what it could be. I love this phone, but im starting to dislike the roms on this thing. It is very buggy, m2d doesnt support landscape, and so on ... Im moving to htc probably, because it has better support on xda, and HTC HD its the phone it fits for me. It has all that omnia have, and more.

One thing, i purchased an housing for my omnia with new touch screen, and let me say this to you, my touch its almost capacitive. You will be mindblowed with a new touchscreen. And i also have the white spot but when i disassembled my omnia it got a bit better. So it isnt all bad, this could be a really good device, but its getting old and people tend to move.

Android is the dream OS, i love it ! But its still too expensive, and alot of their phones are very very ... ugly ! ( Except the nexus ofc, desire and legend )
