Guest kylenk
i like my animations :). any idea how to change them as angio did in his 1.5.1 by the way? i never realised disabling background notifications would speed performance very much at all, all i've got is my gmail anyway... Guest xfs
Another thing to do is install this application: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BJ5FBYDO Boosts the performance some also. Requires root and Android 2.1! (This does basicly the same as AutoKiller that is found on Market, it however sets default-values that is well tested and working great on Liquid) Edited March 19, 2010 by xfs

Guest linuxluver
i like my animations :). any idea how to change them as angio did in his 1.5.1 by the way? i never realised disabling background notifications would speed performance very much at all, all i've got is my gmail anyway... I have had FeedR and Twidroid and Seesmic and Facebook and Gmail and Amazon (can't even access this where I live!)....all starting anf running in the background and trying - by default - to update and notify me. All these apps can be set to update only when asked to. It does make a difference to performance. :-)
Guest drigerott
set peformance on setcpu will kill your battery life.....
Guest goa200
set peformance on setcpu will kill your battery life..... not gonna argue about the fact it does drain more battery but i cant say its a dramatic increase in battery usage. Guest Quipeace
not gonna argue about the fact it does drain more battery but i cant say its a dramatic increase in battery usage. That entirely depends on how much you're using your phone. If you have it in your pocket most of the time it will significantly decrease battery life as it won't idle at 258MHz (or something like that). If you use your phone alot it would be running at full speed most of the time anyway, so you won't notice it as much. EDIT: Just applied the launcher 2 addon, runs smooth enough. Guest linuxluver
set peformance on setcpu will kill your battery life..... Agreed. I use "On demand" and 384 <--> 768. The phone will use it if it needs it.....but never go TOO slow. For standby I set to 245<--> 576 (or maybe 384, but that can be slow for incoming calls) My phone spends most time in my pocket on standby....so battery life is good.
