I understand that not everyone use Touchplayer, but since it comes with official ROMs, the fact that it has SRS WOW HD built-in should be helpful if you're looking for it.

But most importantly, it should be obvious what it is, it's a "bad headphone compensator". In other words, it makes up for your cheap headphone, if you use one.

I'm not really an audio guy, but I can still tell, when I plug in my good headphone, SRS WOW sounds like crap, everything sound so artificial and unnatrual, like a super contrast, super vibrant super sharpened photo.

It only kinda works with bad equipments like the earbuds that came with the phone, but in doing so it introduces other defects into the audio, and it doesn't work well for all music. Maybe most people are into loud musics but if you listen to like just a single vocal or melody, the background noise gets very amplified.

This should be obvious, when you see only laptops have things like SRS Premium Sound, when was the last time you see real audio equipments having SRS or anything else except equalizers?

only recently, after I actrually used a "good headphone", a semi-professional Shure SRH-440 I am begenning to be able to tell the good headphones from the bad ones. I am getting unsatisfied with the stock eadbud and I'm testing another earbud I have, which is also cheap but seems to be a bit better than the stock one. and SRS sounds bad with some songs on this one.

Or more specifically, makes it sound like you're listening to music while in a box.

ROFL!

Kidding aside though, you don't need software artificially messing with your sound to improve sound. What you need is some bad ass ear-wear like Shure IEM's or Audiotechnica headphones,.

depends what type of music you are listening. If it is jazz, soft music, classic, or actually anything other than pop music, then you don't need WOW, as WOW will make it unnatural.

However, if on pop music, WOW gives more pop even if you're on good headphones.
