Guest jebise Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 (edited) Looking for a good video player for my i8000L, have tried touch player and coreplay 1.3.6. I have some anime that works with core player but lags and dose not work with touch player. I also have some movies and TV shows in 720P converted to MP4 to view on my xbox using xenonmkv. So i'm looking for a good video convector that will convert the 720P video to 720x480. I tried using WMP and it did a horrible job in converting maybe a converter that supports MKV that way when i convert for my xbox i can convert for the omnia as well. Edited March 21, 2010 by jebise

Guest jebise Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 (edited) like i said i already have them converted to mp4 using xenonmkv. I was looking into XviD4PSP eariler will try that will a lower rez Thanks to my friend here AndyCarroll in his post here I've been able to find the perfect solution for me to encode videos for TouchPlayer. I've been looking previously at many other solutions. I now use XVid4PSP with these settings and I get amazing results: Format: MP4 Video Encoding: x264 custom settings (2-pass bitrate, Bitrate: 1200, Baseline Profile - make sure you select this) Audio Encoding: AAC-HE CBR 64k *Even though screen resolution is 800x480, Touch Player is limited to 720x480. I suggest you don't go over those limits (eg. if you have a 768x576 movie, resize it to 640x480) This does the job perfectly for me. I suppose you could go higher for both bitrates, but I think for a phone video this is more than enough. Thanks Andy! :) i tried this but for the life of me i cannot find 2-pass bitrate or baseline profile. Using 6001 beta Edited March 22, 2010 by jebise
Guest Ender Psp Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 like i said i already have them converted to mp4 using xenonmkv. Using 6001 beta Don't use 6 it's beta and it misses some encode settings (as you found out too). Download from Softpedia here the official version (that's XviD4PSP_5037_full.exe, from RO mirror, as the original page is down atm). Or whatever source you trust, but use the official released version.
