Looking for Office and MSN alternatives or CABs

As everyone removes MSN and Office from their builds I'd like to know which programmes are better, because I use both quite a lot.

Which alternatives do you guys recommend or are there CABs for Office, because it makes my life just that much easier and I haven't been able to find any Office CABs.
