Hi, I've installed Age of Empires Gold without problem. However, when I run the game I can hear the music but the screen is scrambled. Has anyone managed to get this game to run on the Omnia 2? Would really like to get it working.

Because that's a QVGA (240x320) game, not WVGA (480x800).

Rapid81 :

I have same problem and it si NOT qvga version! Same version worked fullscreen

on my Xperia (WVGA) but not on Omnia 2....

Result is same as chench´s screenshot. It must be some complicated problem with hardware.

Where can I find a cab? I'll take a look.

Looks like the game has problems detecting screen size correctly and displays 320x200 window. Tried it with WVGAFIX4 but no luck either :)

The game uses the GAPI, but since the GAPI not continued to support by MS, I think Samsung (or MS) just throw a gx.dll in the \windows (maybe the latest one). I tried to delete the gx.dll from the games directory, but no success (in that case, the game uses the \Windows\gx.dll), but the game still runs in 320x200. I tried several other gx.dlls (~10, 1993-2006 versions), but with no success also. If someone found a working gx.dll to the phone, the game should work. Just need to replace it in the games installation directory.

The gx.dll collection what I used. I did not tried all of them.

Thanks for looking into it. When I get time (maybe this weekend) I'll give them all a try. If that doesn't work I'll see if anyone who has an Xperia can share the file, since it seems Sony have got it right.

Great! I try it and it works nice! :(

Only graphic is little worse compared to HTC devices. But everything is OK.
