Hi,

I am currently running the cooked ROM Cyanogen 5.0.5.3 + Desire Camera

I wanted to upgrade my 4GB microSD Card to 16GB.

Are there any compatibility issues that I need to take care of ?

Are there any gotchas that I need to be worry about.

Please let me know the procedure of upgrading my SD card.

Thanks,

Darth

I think the optimal procedure is this(someone correct me if I'm wrong).

Boot into recovery, mount USB, copy all your stuff to PC.

Shut down phone. Switch out SD cards

Boot into recovery, mount USB, copye all your stuff back to SD card.

Reboot.

No problems if u mount sdcard into Android w/o stay recovery. U can umount sdcard with Android System running and replace to new sdcard. I make this sometimes and never crash :P

ok if your using apps2sd then your loosing all of your stuff. this is what your going to want to do.

1. boot into recovery with your old 4gb micro sd card

2. select "USB-MS toggle" in the menu and make sure your phone is pluged into your comp

3. copy all of your stuff to a backup folder

4. power off phone and remove your 4gb micro sd card and replace it with your 16 gb card.

5. reboot back into recovery mode

6. select "partition sdcard"

7. select "partition sd"

8. select your partition layout in your recovery image and follow instructions. i recomend a 128 mb swap partition. and select whatever you want for your ext partition for your apps and of course the rest goes for your person use.

9. after completion repeat step 2 and after that continue to step 10

10. now copy all of your stuff back onto your sd card

11. select "reboot system now"

12. your done now just reinstall all your apps and your ready to go.

your welcome

Easiest way is to have the new card in your phone boot into recovery make partitions.. have old card in a SD to usb card reader... mount SD in recovery copy and paste everything from card in the reader to the new card which is in the phone. Good luck
