you can't bring up showcase by sliding your finger up from the bottom of the screen like you can task switcher though. for easy access you could map it to a hardware button.

So after almost 2 days of use, I want to say that it is working great, very stable. A lot of the apps that I wanted and were not included I have been able to get from within these forums, so everything is great. I did notice today that I got two messages that were just a bunch of jargon, most probably the code behind the text or something of the sort. I am not sure where these txt came from as the number that it came from is also jargon. I don't get a lot of messages, so after a while I noticed that it might be the txts I get from Facebook telling me of replies and messages sent to me. I wonder has anyone else had a similar issue. All other texts seem to be going and coming correctly so don't know why those get to me like that.

Hey Gorf1000, I also wanted a calculator, so I found the default Samsung one at Lyorites(misspelled lol) ROM post. Like the middle of the first page he has a list with cabs for programs not in his ROM but that some people might want. That's where I got my calculator back and some other things like solitaire game lol. I don't know if Kev will include them in his next ROM but at least they are available there.

its just taking a while since i have to resize it and convert the images from .bmp to .png. that on top of school makes it a lenghty process. will try to have it done this weekend, and i will put it in a cab before i cook it in so i can release it quicker.

also, i will not be able to test my ROMS before releasing them until further notice as i managed to leave my usb cable at my parents house while i was visiting them. if anyone would like to test my ROMs and take some screenshots for me before i release them to the general public, just let me know. going to try to have a new build out tomorrow with some new enhancements. next version will defenitely have black camera skin and hopefully black htc calculator.

I can try to test some ROMS for you. My schedule can be a little crazy as well but I should have some time to flash and take some screenshots usually within a day or two.

I was hoping you'd be doing something with HTC calc, that's the cab that I've installed currently. I like the black theme you're putting together better than the one that's been floating around in the other ROMS.

I had been using Waremike's NuRom for the past few months. Everything was working fine, no complaints, but I get bored. So I downloaded your M2D Only Rom last week. Great job! I like having the Program Launcher page. I've found a new favorite ROM and keep noticing new details to enjoy.

I do have a slight glitch, not sure why, or if anyone else is experiencing it. Every time I read an email or a Text Message, when I return to the Inbox my mouse doesn't work. I have to exit Messages or Emails entirely before the mouse works again. It happens every time I read my mail. I have 3 emails set up, Exchange, Yahoo and Gmail. I'm tempted to reload the ROM to see if it still does it but I figure I'll just wait until the next release.

Thanks for your hard work, looking forward to new ROMs to play with.

BTW, It sucks when your cable is not there when you need it. I ordered several Samsung cables off of eBay for a couple bucks. Now I keep one in my laptop case, one at work, one by my chair at home and one as backup.

But what the heck is the difference between MD2/Flotanium/Titanium exactly, it seems to me you get the best of both worlds with Flotanium, though I see allot of people installing MD2. Pro's and Con's anyone? By the way, looks like a great Rom.

It's all just a matter of preference. There are just alot of people that don't really like Titanium so they just want M2D. I personally use Flotanium because i like having some variety and being able to switch interfaces with a tap of a button.

i have that same problem with the messaging. not sure what it is, but once i figure out the cause i'll do my best to try and fix it.

i need to get me some backup cables as well. i've seen them on ebay and amazon for a few bucks, just havent really thought about buying one before. i defenitely will be buying at least one more soon now.

i think i may have removed something from the OEM that makes it lock, and the registry settings werent changed so the in call lock is available in settings, but it doesnt actually control anything. going to try to get it working as soon as i can.

After a almost a week of using your rom, I am very satisfied, and look forward to updates when they become available.

I don't use the mouse, so I haven't had the issue you all have been getting. Only thing I've noticed is a few freezes a day, but not really a problem as I have read other roms have experienced a lot more freezes and glitches. Your rom up to now is the most stable one out there. Great work. I also flashed a friends phone with your rom and he was also very impressed. Thanks for the great work.

I can tell you what worked for me. I first installed Fix GPS lock and used the settings 0, 512, 512.

Then I followed the directions in post #1 here:

to get the GPS toggle on my home screen (along with some other goodies), and that's it! My GPS works better than it ever has now. I've tested with Google maps and AmAze.

I attached FixGPSlock.cab for you. The above mentioned post has the rest.

The only question I'm still left with regarding GPS is weather I need to actually start up FixGPSlock everytime I use the GPS .... or if it is just used to modify some settings one time. Currently i do not start it up when I use my GPS and i get a lock in under a minute.

just to add to PDoe's post, you have to turn gps on first by going to start -> settings -> phone -> go to services tab and select gps then change to location on. the ok soft key does not work on this screen, so i have the main menu hardware button on the side of the phone mapped to OK/Close. then follow Pdoe's instructions and you should get locks fairly quickly. gps toggle and gps keep alive hold the gps lock so 3rd party gps apps such as google maps and garmin have your location as soon as you open them.

I'm a big fan of fingerkeyboard. I've got custom skins that I've worked out that I kind of like too. I removed the keys I dont use and made the rest bigger.... especially in landscape view. Note, I only customized for the english keyboard. Also note, that when I install, i ONLY select english.

Not sure if it's the newest version, but heres the cab for the version I"m using right now along with the skins I'm using. Just drop the skins files into:

Program Files\FingerKeyb\skins

after installing. This is one if the very few things I install to device, although I'm not sure if it's really needed or not.

is there a way to remap the soft "Today" button when you're in TouchFlo mode? after installing and uninstalling Easy Today Launcher like in post #91 (Pdoe), the Today button leads me to the Phone dialer. I dont mind reinstalling the whole build too I guess, but how do I reflash it? do i have to uninstall first? or do i flash to CF03 first, then install again?

Also, might be off topic, but is there a way to get a standalone gps for the omnia? without the need to have internet? Would love to pre-download maps.

Im gonna give the new keyboard a try. looks promising
