One can easily tap one or two buttons and navgate to any of the panels one want. Dont know why so many people make a great deal about it and trying so damn hard complaining and to get it working on Omnia2 Edited March 29, 2010 by hkwildboy

Guest khanmech Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 well i want it to work on my phone just coz it should. There is no reason for it not too other then samsung being lazy. But yes its still useless and i want it disabled When your in carousel view, tap the right softkey, and select "tiles view." I think there's a registry entry to disable it completely, too.

I noticed when i use SBP i get around 63MB free from a total of 86MB. Which means it uses about 23MB and if i even use the carousel once i see the memory drop to 30MB or less. So with that said if we where to some how just remove the entire thing it might free up some more RAM since it will not load int memory at boot.

Well, i don't know about removal unless someone can take apart the cab and rebake it (way beyond my abilities), but I found the relevant registry keys, it may help, it may not. It won't take out the carousel view, but it does disable the 3d and reflections. HKLM\Software\SPB software house 2\SPB Mobile Shell\Gl\SelectorScene ..... change GSensor to 0, and Reflections to 0. The carousel thing is still there, but it's only a simplified 2d interface. maybe it will help with RAM issues, maybe not, but let us know what happens.

Guest jebise Posted March 30, 2010 Report Posted March 30, 2010 hmmm made by spb...runs on microsoft os but samsung is lazy...math here doesnt work... yes it dose, its based on a open source driver that samsung did not include with the phones even though they clam that its able to do thing which it cannot. \yes the software is made by SBP but it uses a driver that most phone should include and samsung dose support 1.0 openGL but not 2.0 which is what sbp uses.

Guest jebise Posted March 30, 2010 Report Posted March 30, 2010 did you not see a petition that was created that over 300+ people signed? Me calling them will get me no where, we haven't even received an official update since november which is when the phone was released here.
