I found a bug. Using musik.apk, when you are at Now Playing you can't rearrange the songs any longer. But i'm still able to move songs to the top of the list.

My 3G is really fast, (HSDPA 7.9 Mbps), but it depends on your operator/coverage. Your mileage may vary from town to town, country to country...

v0.5c is coming soon. BTW, to fix the lazy Acer config job, most all of the stuff I use to make Xian éclair, is from the Nexus One... ;)

Hopefully, most of the latest nexus rom will boot (which is what I'm trying to do), but that's a WIP. For now, only bits and pieces are from the Nexus...

Any more suggestions before v0.5c is released?

Working on it today. ;) Release either tonight, or tomorrow night. v0.5c is mainly a bug fix, I'm making it even lighter, optimizing some apps, adding Arabic, hebrew, etc. support. Fixing MMS for non English languages, etc.

What do you mean by that? GPS is already in... Activate in settings, use in google maps.

Great news, your rom is fast and batteryfriendly. Hope you keep it that way and don't add to much to it.

Several people already wrote that trying to navigate backward. No matter which software I use.

Don't worry, I'm not adding any bloat to it. I don't like pre-installed apps, and languages don't take up much room at all. I'm glad you like it. ;) I was on 3.5G with screen at 100% and listening to music for hours yesterday... Got home with 26% battery left. ;) That's good, considering that I my phone on 3G from 6:00 AM to 8: PM.

@Anzo, you mean that the navigation is incorrect? That's not me, but a problem in Acer's programming... ;) I'll try to investigate, but GPS drivers, etc. are in the kernel, and that sir, I cannot fix (no source!).

Yes, I was sure that Acer defective because the previous bin than there was no such problem. I thought that the 0004 and 0008 would not be possible to put something together?

It's hard to mix and match things... and since I don't have a Linux machine to decompress the kernel, I can't edit that either. I'll look, but don't expect a miracle.

I'm on Windows 7 x64, I dual boot Mac OS X Snow Leopard, I'm thinking of installing Fedora (which I have already used, for many years). I have cygwin, but didn't manage to decompress the boot.img with it.

I could run it in a virtual machine... We'll see.

New ROM is coming, I'll keep you guys posted.

maybe its a temp problem in the cell network.

Can you really add Arabic? As in being able to read/write sms's and view web sites?

could you just make a barebone clean rom without any other language support than english then add extra languages and mms for other languages in a flashable zip??

even though im sure the extra language doesnt mean much in terms of space id still like it as clean as possible

Don't worry, I'll do it that way. No bloat is my motto. ;) I had left to eat, back to ROM cooking.

I know that people want a no-wipe version, but files and apps become more and more picky as Android gets older... you guys will have MMS HTCIME, etc., problems, if you don't wipe before flashing a new version. SMS baclup (free), and titanium backup, are fine for upgrading. The SMS backup app is fast, lean, and mean. ;) Check it out.

Have been using this 0.5b for a few days. Best rom i have used to far. Thanks!

Can anyone share with me on how to get app2sd working with this rom?

I formatted my SDcard with malez recovery 0.43 to Fat32 + ext + swap

After which, I used the option on malez recovery to move the apps to SD

However, when I reboot or power on, I get stuck in the loop of bootup animation

I have to enter to recovery with buttons combination and move the apps back before I can boot up properly.

Any help will be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for this ROM. It's very good.

One thing I noticed with it it. After installing Desire theme and changing the "default" wallpaper to something else, I was not able to find the Desire wallpaper again?
