Did you try the script I uploaded? Link

Run that with gscript, it should fix the problem.

@goa200 That's wierd... Working fine here. Are you sure you guys are flashing the right ROM? Double check, because the problems you are describing were in v0.5... They are ALL fixed in v0.5b. The file names are very similar.

could try and do a clean flash of course

:P Thanks a lot! 2 mirrors added to OP, and old versions removed to avoid confusion.

SMS still crashes. I don't have messages to restore, so my test was "clean".

I will try more tomorrow.

I'm sure you'll find the solution for this small problem :P

Let us know if you need log files or some specific test.

Au revoir :(

MMS fix gscript mirror.

Going to bed guys. Your best bet is to reflash .bin, then flash the MOD... Can you guys post some logcat logs, so I can debug?

The audio mod is the thing that took the most time... I hope you guys like it. :P I plan on making this rom 10-20 MB smaller (it's 97 MB right now...), in the next version, making everything faster, of course... but I don't know if I can make it any faster than it already is.

Full FLAC support coming in next version.

Suggestions needed. :(

@goa200 The logcat says that Contacts.apk is the culprit... I don't have time to look at it now... I'm using the same one as you, and no crashes, it's pretty much the same from v0.4 (from stock .bin).

I'll be at the hospital all day tomorrow for some intense testing...

Logging off...

Buona sera, bonne nuit, good night.

That is a bug of origonal bin, not of the rom...

Hi Guys, anyone having issue with the following scenario?

1. clean bin install (perfect)

2. recovery to flash 0.5b rom (even better)

3. recover to flash Desire MOD and just get repeated fc's the moment phone is unlocked?

Had same issue in 0.5 and 0.5b; everything from Clock (processcom.acer.tasks) to launcher2 fc's

(done twice for both releases)

Thanks in advance and loving 0.5b without MOD

Posted

I got this issue...when I tried desire addon.

Without it, everything works except MMS.apk, but I replaced it with another one and it worked.

J'ai flashé le bin avec le Acer Tool, puis j'ai installé l'update simple sans les addons divers.

L'application sms ne marche pas.

Sorry for the french talk. My english isn't very good and I want him to understand me.

I said :

I flashed the latest bin with the Acer Tool, then I flashed his latest update, witouth addons.

The sms app doesn't work.

Edit :

Ensuite j'ai voulu installer le launcher2. FC, impossibilité d'utilisation totale...

Then I tried to install the launcher2. FC ... Unable to use the phone.

fourth flashing now... Trying to keep english language to see if it works.

Edit2 :

Ok en anglais, sans addons (pas testé encore).

Works fine in english, witouth addons (no tested yet, I don't think it could work better)

I have the same problem, but I have found why we have the problem and others no...

The SMS app crashes if the phone is set in Italian language....

The SMS app DON'T crashes if the phone is in English language...

I have not tried other languages...

Anyway is easy to change the Mms.apk with another taken from a different image...

Ciao, Piero.
