[ROM] Xian v1 (LiquidE)

In French, the rom is really buggy, the application for sms FC's all the time (even though I did 50 wipes :P ) I tried to install the 5 row launcher and that was it, no more home, FC's every second. I didn't try in English though

Same issue with SMS and the script don t fix anything (I verify and it has deleted all the files it has to delete)...

If you're not using the english language, try to set it on your phone.

ahsid and I seems to have the exact same issue related to french version. You should investigate this way.

I think that before flashing the new 5-row launcher, you have to remove the acer widgets (web and music). I did this and the launcher works well. To solve the sms app problem I gavetta pushed the Pieter mms.apk, taken from liberated 1.2, and it works great!

Am I the only one having a black background with black text in SMS (conversation view)? I can't read the conversations anymore.

Hello.

I just flashed the rom and wanted to add the desire theme but the deposit file does not work from sweden it seems or there are too many users from here.

Anyhow, can someone please put these files somewere else?

Desire theme and HTC_IME V21 for this rom.

Havent tried that much but it really seems like the fastest yet. Nice job!

Great ROM, xian1243! The best ROM i've ever used on my Liquid. :P Currentry i've updated the version to 0.5b. The sound is perfect!!!:(... Bugreport: still the FC of HTC IME exists (solved by installing another one frome LCR wiki page), when open the search in market, the search button appears to be black, for me it's not compateble with market app graphics, in messeges the field is now black, but the text remains black too, so it's imposible to see anything, only a name of contact and time of send. Some questions: is there any possibility to make slides on lockscreen black as notif. bar? Can you add deskclock app as in previous 0.004 ROM with buttons to alarm, music, gallery & home and that has weather info &dimm button? Thx a lot for your work.

same trouble with spanish, but solved like post #211 !!! Now works well!

so i just replace LatinIME.apk to have spanish dictinary too. XD

xian1243, first off all let me thank for this fine ROM, I haven't tested a lot but it looks pretty fast (won't speak of stability since I didn't had time to use it that much).

Then I would just like to report that in Portuguese the SMS also FCs.

BTW, I restored like 40 SMS's and had no troubles with it if I set the language to English.

Summary to let Xian understand better on what doesn't work and what to improve

What doesn't work:

-SMS on non-english configuration (solved with replacing MMS.apk with the one in this thread) Xian Working On It

-Black SMS text and background (solved with replacing MMS.apk with the one in this thread) It's a feature of the rom: edit background in settings

-HTC_ime FCs (i think that is better to not include it in the rom and put a link to xda's disccussion for everyone that wants it, because that is the original app and it's updated by the author) Xian Working On It

-5 row launcher seems to crash if you haven't deleted Acer widgets before install the addon Xian Working On It

-Market process rarely crashes. (but very rarely, happened 3 times when i was restoring with Titanium Backup) I don't have this problem since hours, so i think it's not a bug

What to do:

-Nexus dialer (Acer one is a bit bugged)

-Add "Clock" (in italian "Orologio") app that shows time, photo slideshow, dim, temperature etc. (there was one in the old 0.004 and i think also in Evil 2.00r1; also, there's that shortcut tapping on the clock in Weather widget)

-Fix SMS app that doesn't show remaining characters (don't know if your MMS.apk has this feature, but Piter's hasn't...)

-Everything you told before (light the rom etc.)

-Fix Desire Theme that seems to give FC (i use mine Desire theme and all run perfectly, so I haven't tested it)

Theme fixes\addons:

-Search button in Market seems black

-Make slides on lockscreen black as notification bar

-Modify notification bar from carbon to desire one's (don't know if you remember, but i told it some time ago :( )

Please post if there's something to add to this list, so it's easier for Xian to search&solve bugs :P

i think this is the command

i just copied to the sd card and used appinstaller.

also installed latest htc ime v20 and works :P

You have to wipe at least the cash from the recovery. If it doesn't work do a complete wipe (data), then it will for sure :P
