JC2 was the latest official rom release for Hong Kong Omnia2 users with Traditional Chinese/ English languages. The JA5 here release yesterday 03/30, was the latest official rom for Singapore Omnia2 users with multiple Europe languages. Edited March 30, 2010 by NewForce

Basically, they're customize the rom for different country as some of them uses different language/dictionary, operator network settings, inputs and etc. Furthermore, in order for a new firmware to release for that particular country usage, they need to submit it to that country telecommunication dept to review & approve the contents in it. It's all about nation security issue. It look like Samsung Singapore Branch quite happy about the last IJ9 rom since last Nov 2009. They took quite a while to release another new rom, a not so new WM6.5 rom. B) :o Edited March 31, 2010 by NewForce

This is an official rom for all Omnia2 in or purchased from Singapore, so you shouldn't be worried about that. :P

Guest Del1701 Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 How's this rom compared to the new JC1 and JC2 ?
Guest RyanMod Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 Hi, except the version number (which can be easily modified by the ROM owner), how do we ensure this is an official ROM? Is this ROM safe? If the owner of the ROM has embedded spyware/virus, how do we detect it?
