update from stock rom

Hello everyone,

I didn't feel the need to update to one of the newer roms out here so for the moment I am on

PDA: I8000NXXII9

CSC: I8000XEUII9

PHONE: I8000XXII6

but I intend to flash a newer rom very soon. I decided to wait for an update from Samsung long enough :P

What I would like to update to is:

PDA: I8000HZUJC1 (the famous HK fast)

CSC: 8000NXXJC1 (the european "update" - found in the I8000NXXJC1 thread)

PHONE: I8000XXJB2

I imagine I would have to use the I8000NXXJC1 eboot.

I chose this specific CSC since I have an UK Omnia2 and would like to keep the regionals and settings "compatible".

My question is: is this combination possible? Would it work? Advices?

(I know that in the I8000HZUJC1 thread, 2 CSC are mentioned: HCWTJC1 and FAMIJ3 but not this)

I'm mainly interested in having the HK PDA part (new menu, touchplayer etc, faster), if I have to choose (csc wouldn't work).

I8000HZUJC1 is not for HK, it from Taiwan.

If you want HK rom, you should try I8000HZHJC2.

if u want ur phone language in english, u have to flash with ZUJC1's CSC or .EXE. otherwise, u'll end up in chinese anyway.

Damnit :P I guess I'll use that CSC then. I'd rather not use the exe since I've got a lot of stuff on MyStorage.

Lancez, does the exe install some stuff on MyStorage? (like cabs etc). Otherwise I'd just use the MST to update.

if u dont want to format ur my storage, u can download extracted files from my ZUJC1 thread, there r lot mirrors there. and .exe dose install some CABs in my storage, some games and u can install those CABs in my storage.

GT-I8000_I8000NXXJA5_I8000XEUJA5_I8000XXJA3_I8000XEUJA5_XX_XEU.zip

Would this be better than I8000HZUJC1 ? (I doubt it, but it doesn't hurt to ask)

thats China Unicom branded ROM, chinese only.
