Guest Narlhotep Posted April 6, 2010 Report Posted April 6, 2010 I'm liking Opera 10 on the SCH-i920. Does anyone know how to use the the ArcSoft streaming player to open any/all streaming video from Opera 10? The much-maligned streaming player is lower quality than the YouTube/limited flash that you get through Opera 10, but I'm in an area with very spotty 3G and the streaming player is very reliable for buffering and locks in the video controls until you select to exit. Opera 10 is VERY sensitive to screen taps (you can full-screen YouTube, but you had better use the stylus if you don't want to "glitchilly" flip back and forth between regular and dedicated view!). The Opera 9 baked in to the stock ROM knows when to use ArcSoft, how do I tell Opera 10? Registry values? How do we set default programs for specific file extensions in WinMo 6.5? Unlike some other newbie posters here I love the SCH-i920 and I'm willing to tweak! Please help.

Thanks!...I am a Newbie and I gave it a shot to no avail Using SK tools: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT lists all file extensions, but how do I designate a program for each? HKEY_CURRENT_USER seems to have no related settings and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-software-Opera 9 also provides no clues. BTW-thank you both very much for applying you expertise to the issue. I did not expect such quick responses! -Cool! Edited April 6, 2010 by Narlhotep
