Nothing new yet, my good mate K.Radd? Have you finished yet your german versions, to start working with new english updates for each one of these "JN" superb roms?

Generally, I would LOVE to see from you (of Jo-the-ripper), one Lite or UltraLite 23563 with M2D included. I mean, one as much as "clean" 23563 build with M2D as UI... Is this possible?

Does anyone else have the problem

1) when on spb home it switches to M2D automatically

2) Audio manager does not open

Currently using i908 ZUIF2 Vs. XBIJ1 WM 6.5.X build 23563 Manila2D V2 G-Carbon 24.04.10

Oh and thanks to JN group for a great looking rom :(

This rom I'm using myself; perfect rom. Since you like to using SPB Shell, why you picked a M2D rom? For instance, why you didn't choose the Rosso Senso?

Thank you; actually, is one & half month, if you do the maths... Yes, I like to be here, is a fine forum; and I'm working at home, so...

Any point for this comment of yours?

(I'm also in Omniamods forum since the very same date and I have 150 posts there too. Do you want to give me medal or what?)

users of JN titanium roms, how is with free program memory? with manila carbon am on 30-35 mb of free memory only..and running cleanram several times per day..and also the battery drains quite fast..

but these are the only 2 "issues" am having with carbon rom.. it is fast, stable and really good looking

Two things I always have to do when flashing, which might be worth trying, although I suspect they are quirks of my security settings and are probably not applicable to anyone else:

1. The XP account must have Administrator rights, or be logged in as Administrator

2. The file being flashed best resides on a sub-directory residing off the main hardrive ie C:\OmniaRom

Mike

1. Checked

2. Checked

I have everything good for flashing! and it said Downloading Image 0%. I have tried on VMware and other clean XPs and nothing. I don't know what to do ?! please come with more solutions!

I'm using the same rom - well, I was since yesterday. Now, I'm using EXACTLY the same build as "G-Carbon", although I found a fine UltraLite 23563 with kinetic scrolling everywhere (!), one of OCK's.

With this new UltraLite, I had about 64% memory free after a clean flash and now, after 10-12 cabs I installed (M2D, S2U2 included), I have 52%.

Generally, when I had the "G-Carbon", I had to install quite less apps - because "G-Carbon" is a full-app rom. I just put Resco, G-Alarm and a couple more... I never dropped bellow 45%.

I hope I helped.

Yes, I know where it is to find the "Memory".

Well, generally with most of roms I'm using, after 2 or 3... WEEKS without hard reset, after I'm finishing all apps' installation, I have 44% memory free (something between 42-50%). Here:

Thanks. I mean soft reset not hard reset. after how many days without soft reset do you get without dropping below 44Mb?

With the above figures of 44Mb free program memory left, how often do you use your phone sir in terms of SMS (how many SMS), calls (minutes), any applications that you are using per day? are you using M2D2? I am trying to compare RAM performance of different roms.

does your phone start? if it does, hard reset by holding call and end buttons. when it finishes and you see "tap screen to set up your..blabla" turn your phone off. charge it to full when it's off.

download original rom from samsung website

use original rom from samsung and try flashing. you might need to hex edit it to your current rom version-i think there is guide to that somewhere.

when you do all above, download your favourite rom !again! (delete the one you had trouble now) and flash as it was stock. maybe even on other computer if you have possibility.

Aye, I thought you're talking about soft-reset. I'm NOT rebooting (soft reset) my phone for... at least a month! I don't need to. Since I'm finishing everything I want installed (with 5-6 soft-resets of course, during the proccess), I'm not soft-reseting the device; never! If a problem show up, only then I'm soft-reseting my i900...

Don't know why, is just me... Even with Symbian phones, I was never switching off them. I think I read somewhere, is better for battery drain (probably b*ll*cks!), but I did it one time and I never stopped doing it.

Now... I'm sending over 5 SMS per day, over 8 calls per day (duration: 1-10 mins), I'm using a lot Resco Explorer, M2D Customizer (I finished my M2D theme but I'm still like to "play" with it), I'm playing backgammon at least 20' every day..., generally, that's all.

My favorite apps (I'm always installing) are:

1. Resco Explorer

2. Resco Photo Manager

3. SPB keyboard (and glossy black skin, in cab)

4. G-Alarm

5. CleanTemp

6. CleanRam

7. SMS "iPhone like" skin ("bubbles") by Ninja

8. FavHack Omnia

9. iTouch (probably not necessary in new builds/roms)

10. Additional battery life (registry) tweaks in cab (don't remember by whom)

11. S2U2 (and my personal theme)

12. M2Dv2... M2DCustomizer... M2DTP... (and my personal theme)

13. IconshoftPHONEX (and black/red skin, from official site)

14. Google Maps (and a M2D Home weather fix)

15. (Few registry tweaks in a couple of cabs, no more than 30KBs each one of them)

16. UI Tweaker

17. Icon Changer

I think, that's all...

You probably installed too many extra applications, my friend. THAT's WHY I'm asking my dear K.Radd to make for us, a Lite or UltraLite rom with M2D/S2U2/glossy icons (to save me from lot of time and manual work), while these roms will be extremely "light" for any taste.

(Because, I DO love this superb "G-Carbon" rom, but at least the... 65% of the "cooked" applications are useless to me, I don't need them).

You may have to do as I did... I found one exactly the same build (23563) from OCK, but is UltraLite!!!! With kinetic scrolling (!!!) everywhere, 64% memory free and about 165MB storage!

It's the same build as "G-Carbon", but almost "naked"! So, you have to spend a... day, to install everything you like, but at least you'll have far more Free memory/storage capacity.

thanks. i am a heavy sms and phone user. maybe that explains the drop of 10mb or more of ram.

btw, noticed that you are interchanging MB (megabytes) and % in terms of RAM. Good thing that the free program memory of our omnia ranges from 97+ to 98+Mb making the use of percentage more or less equal to the MB values. cheers. :(
