Where can I find "market enabler". All links to download leads to useless files. (.html or .txt not .apk)

I have googled around a little for market enabler(and yes I have rooted the phone).

http://code.google.com/p/market-enabler/downloads/list leads to a html-file at "uploadedto", which in turn points back to "uploadedto"

http://www.ohloh.net/p/market-enabler lead to you downloading just a txt-file, test.txt which only contains the word "test".

Before I continue the search, is it prevented by google in some kind of way(so that they gently have asked them to remove the file). Do I have to torrent the damn thing?

Edit : Never mind, I found it on softpedia. Funny thing with the two first links though....

Edit 2 : But after a successfull install (adb intall MarketEnabler_v3.0.8.apk, with the file in the same folder as adb.exe, lead to "Sucess"), I still can't see any paid apps on the market.

A restart of the phone didn't help either.

Does "market enabler" work with 2.000.16?

Yes it works. Just launch the application, then in the tab called "settings list" select (touch and maintain) any of the operators you wish to fake (a menu apperas with the sentence fake this provider) . once it's done, launch market again and search for your apps.

you can always get back to the original settings in the third tab "set custom"

Your solution is not to use market enabler as it just fakes you provider as if you were in another country.

Use malez revovery 0.4 instead

http://code.google.com/p/acer-liquid-malez-recovery/

Install it and boot in recovery mode

Then select Other / Unlock market

Once done reboot the phone and change time of your phone to 11:59PM

wait untill 00:02Am and the reboot.

Log to market : Paid apps will be here.

Restore correct date and time

Great, malez once again to the rescue! (But I got market enbler to work, but it is just a faker as malez said).

I can't for my life understand why google isn't just opening up the market for the rest of the countries?

I wanna pay for the apps, not pirate them, since they cost almost nothing, are updated constantly and also the fact that it takes a lot of time to develop these things!

Sure, you can root the phone and use market enabler or just use malez recovery. But I suspect a majority of the users won't do that. Loads of people just use a stock phone. I've heard of people not even knowing that there was a market, just using the preinstalled apps!
