WM Screen-Lock delay fix?

Hello all.

I have been playing around in the registry and I have have discovered something interesting

in relation to the WM Screen lock and it's associated initial delay after a soft reset or restart.

After a soft reset or restart (and without locking the phone) if you look in the registry at HKCU/ControlPanel/BackLight you will see

a series of entries but no sub-folder.

After locking/unlocking the phone you will then see a new entry at HKCU/ControlPanel/BackLight/LockLevel

"LockLevel"=dword:00000000

Every time you reset/restart this key is removed until the phone is locked/unlocked again.

Now I am wondering if this key was cooked into the rom if it would firstly remove the initial lockscreen delay and secondly if the key

still gets erased when reseting/restarting.

I may be barking up the wrong tree or bringing up and old disproved theory, if this is the case I apologize, but if not it I think it would be

a great fix as the delay is quite annoying.
