Guest WebReaper21 Posted April 13, 2010 Report Posted April 13, 2010 Hi, I have a problem with S2U2 and the new JD1 ROM version. I set S2U2 up to use slide to answer when the phone is locked, but upon receiving an incoming call, the windows incoming call screen overlaps with the S2U2 one and I can't answer or dismiss the call with neither one of the two. Has anyone else noticed this Problem? Are there any solutions to use S2U2 as lock screen and having a slider to answer incoming calls with JD1? Any help would be appreciated...

This issue was raised on the s2u2 thread on XDA website (post 5251 here. The author of s2u2 send he wasnt able to help unless someone can send him an Omnia II for testing/debugging.

Guest emperorben Posted April 13, 2010 Report Posted April 13, 2010 My solution is to temporarily disable the Samsung Phone Skin. In the registry, goto HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin. Changed the value of "Enabled" from "1" to "0". The downside to this solution is that you can no longer make/receive video calls.
Guest dzynio Posted April 13, 2010 Report Posted April 13, 2010 i dont have such kind of problem, im using newest version of s2u2 and in option i got selected slide to answer too but when i have incoming call it shows new samsung answer screen(im using jd1 too)
Guest WebReaper21 Posted April 13, 2010 Report Posted April 13, 2010 @emperorben: Thanks, that solution works for me as I don't use videocalls anyway. Maybe I'll try to port the dialer from JC2 when I have time this weekend, to get full functionality back ...

If you have s2u2 with Slide to Answer enabled you should be seeing the Slide to Answer incoming call screen, not the Samsung/Windows incoming call screen.
Guest dgmorland Posted April 13, 2010 Report Posted April 13, 2010 I have a solution to this problem now ;) If you install the cab for the JC2 phone skin that was created by Newforce (thank you Mr Newforce!) then soft reset, the normal S2U2 functionality returns. IE the slide to answer screen is presented for incoming calls. I don't see any other issues as a result of doing this - the dialer looks the same still. I have attached a copy of the JC2 Phone Skin cab for convenience. Samsung_Phone_Skin_JC2__NewForce_.rar
Guest bluhound Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 Try going S2U2's Advanced settings and change the "Display Mode" to either Raw Buffer or DirectDraw. Default is GDI which gave me this same problem. Once I changed it to Raw Buffer, S2U2 became a lot smoother and no longer have this problem.

Guest vishkn Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 it is nice I have no problem....... How do we access S2U2's advanced settings? This is built into the ROM. How can we change?
Guest manosandrea Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 (edited) Personally i used the JC2 skin's solution because the JD1's dialer really remains the same and is better working. The other solution , changing to ''direct draw or raw buffer'', is working , but with some bugs >> still the JD1's dialer interferes ( only with one line flashing ) and the s2u2's answer buttons cannot be pressed. Thanks everybody for your help !!!!!!!! Edited April 14, 2010 by manosandrea
Guest WebReaper21 Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 Yeah thanks for the help. The JC2 Dialer works like a charm ;)

Guest Khisha Posted May 15, 2010 Report Posted May 15, 2010 I found a solution. You need to disable caller ID of S2U2. I can't disable samsung dialer since I do a lot of video calls. The downside is that you have small tumbnail, but I easily leave with that. But I can perfectly receive calls. Before that I couldn't answer 30% of calls.

Guest Khisha Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 Yes indeed. No Slide 2 Answer and Caller ID is thumbnail size.
Guest emptyara Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 i guess caller ID is just 'your fren picture'.. :) am i right...??
