though the update pic shows 2.1, the summary says its a language update so i wouldn't get all excited about it unless they messed up the summary, which they won't.

it says MEA region os update. Granted MEA Region is in parenthesis, but it makes more sense its a language pack than an accidental pre-release of eclair. I'm as hopeful as you are, but I don't think we're going to see the official until the liquid E is released.

Thinking more about it, It might well be just a small update or bug fix release BUT how come even after installing this ROM (with the extra A) the system update still showing new release available rather than no update which is what it normally show when u have the latest ROM?

It did come to my mind that it might just be my phone which is lossing the plot but I've posted the screenshot in an arabic forum and a lot of people are getting the same message..

first, they promise they'll release the new rom in March, then, when March is almost over, they say about April.. and now about May.. i think we will get it in the mid-summer or so

Having gathered information from the e-mail ,even if you download the ROM from the notification manager it would download the 2.0 version ROM . Since we haven't released the 2.1 version yet .

Yeah it's a bit suspiscious why they named it 2.00...maybe in an effort to thwart the pressure to release Eclair, they just called Donut 1.6 2.000 and can say they plan to release 2.0 & 2.1 soon... wow that would really be sad....

It doesn't seem likely that we'll find one until liquid gets released on rogers and becomes more popular. There is no site i can find with the screen. Since I can't fix it, I'm eyeing a new nexus one. Now that my gps is kaputt, its about time.

I dunno about u guys, but I downloaded the eclair os on the french page of acer and 2day i went back it's not there anymore. What I do know is, that I have official 2.1 ROM in my shiny liquid a1 :angry:
