This is a lite (or ultralite) rom based on I8000NXXJD3.

I only test this in English, and the MUI files for other languague are removed from rom.

If you need other language... you can try it, it might work, or build a new one by yourself.

Known issue:

* XTRA setting can't save data in JD3, so you need to change the value in registry directly. (this lite rom enable XTRA by default)

! 15MB PagePool size (patch available for 4MB/8MB/12MB/20MB).

! LZX compress.

- Remove most mp3 ring (only keep 'Cloudy Tone .mp3', because tclock use this one)

! No any default Today, just empty.

- Remove most theme (only keep Classic Blue) (provide cab files)

- Remove some non-used icons

- Remove .rgu files

- Remove sample music

- Remove sample picture

! Enable IME setting in Settings

! Change MinimumTapTime to 0

! Enable automatic backlight mode by default

! Disable touch vibration and sound by default

! Enable vibration for all notification by default

! Disable hardware buttons tone by default

! Wake up button set to Lock or Power by default

! Enable etiquette mode by default

! Enable front camera support by default

! Set HKCU\ControlPanel\PhoneNetSelMode\timeout to 0 by default

! set HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SimContacts\RadioEnableDelay to 0 by default

! Disbale SMS/MMS sent alert by default

! Enable unicode support for SMS by default

! Disable security warnning by default

! Disable error report function

! Enable screen rotate function

! Enable Microsoft Settings

! Set HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\LowMem\ProgramMem to 96

! XTRA enabled by default (ActiveSync and GPRS)

! GPS Baud set to 115200 by default

! Enable sound alarms even when the device is set to silent or vibrate

! change start menu to 4 rows grid (provide cab for restore to 3 rows grid)

! Assign Button 1 to Start Menu

! Assign Hold Button 1 to Task Manager

! Assign Button 2 to OK/Cancel

Note:

1. Please use OCTANS Downloader 2.14 or later version

2. Photo Album (Photo), File Manager (My Files), SharePix (Communities) may be used by Camera, so install them if you need Camera.

3. You need to reboot the device after install FM Radio.

4. Execute 'Restore Connections' in 'Samsung Settings' if you can't use data link for 3.5G or via ActiveSync

5. You need to flash the official rom before flash lite rom if you want to use PowerDic (the files in my storage hidden partition).

This is the feature of 6.5.3 to keep programs in memory for while and therefore make them faster on launch.

Perhaps they had another phone in mind when they designed it.

I recomend Xtask2 or ameba. Showcase hangs on sms and emails. At least on JD1.

Perhaps twu2 can implant one of those apps into CSC or something in future.

Hmm when I try to open the first file with 7zip, it says "Unspecified Error". I have downloaded it from 2 locations, same error. When I use WinRAR, it says the file may be damaged.

EDIT: Just checked the MD5 tags, looks like .003 from ZShare is the corrupted one

It works great! It seems much faster than what I was using (I think IJ or IK?) I don't like the taskbar at the bottom though, can that be changed?
