Guest Danung Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 System requirement of SPB Mobile Shell quite high. It said it need high speed CPU and 3D Accelator, can our omnia2 run it?
Guest jebise Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 only way to find out is to try it when released.
Guest skutchi Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 Look at this video (3:31) and u will se that Omnia 2 will run SPB Shell 5.0, hopefully... :-)
Guest skinnypupp Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 Looks like they spent all their time making the carousel look nice. Who actually uses that? Or the launcher? And who will use the new MOON PHASE WIDGET? What they should really do is make a lite version, with just SPB Home and nothing else.
Guest AndrewTan Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 Look at this video (3:31) and u will se that Omnia 2 will run SPB Shell 5.0, hopefully... :-) Come on, that part showing at O2 is using SPB 3.5 not 5.0, and it run it to show another apps not showing the SPB 5.0.
Guest nuelo Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 Yes, doesn't seem like much of an upgrade from a UI standpoint. That would suck if it didn't work on O2.
Guest Chadwicky Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 Come on, that part showing at O2 is using SPB 3.5 not 5.0, and it run it to show another apps not showing the SPB 5.0. No... that's definitely not SPB 3.5 -- that video is a true demo of 5.0
Guest Krecik2002 Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 (edited) Even if it will run on O2, all Open GL effects are going to be extremely slow and the entire application will be too memory consuming for comfortable usage. Edited April 21, 2010 by Krecik2002

I think they gonna use OpenGL 2, like in the latest versions of 3.5, but it doesn't matter because Samsung screwed drivers anyways...
Guest ANGEL_666 Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 I think they gonna use OpenGL 2, like in the latest versions of 3.5, but it doesn't matter because Samsung screwed drivers anyways... Oh yes??? And how about "Touch experiense"? It's use OpenGL2, And perfectly and fast working on our device! So, it SPB screw with drivers! They drivers are for HTC previously, and other devices must use processor! Shame on it!
Guest AndrewTan Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 No... that's definitely not SPB 3.5 -- that video is a true demo of 5.0 That video is definately true demo on HTC HD2 not on the O2. Some site misleading it (I seen that video few months ago) and the O2 is running 3.5 not the 5.0 Did u see any cool effect appear on O2 as same as HD2? Did u notice the layout in O2 is same as v3.5 but not the HD2 which have new layout which is base on v5.0? Open your eyes big big or open the video twice as one pause at O2 part and then compared it with your eyes open big big with another video pause at HD2 part and you will spot the different. See carefully 1st before you so sure it is true demo of 5.0 in O2. It is true demo of 5.0 in HD2 but definately not in O2.
