Rotate screen as button

Is it possible to set rotate screen as the button on Omnia 2 Win 6.5.3 JC1 Rom ?? I don't like OrientationDetector And I want to rotate screen by press button . , but I can't find it . Is it possible ??

You might be able to do it if you installed a program such as Spb Pocket Plus which has a specific button configuration screen. I remember seeing a list of items in there and one of them being rotate screen left/right. Not sure how it would work on the Omnia II as I last used that program when I had an HTC 6800 with WM6.1.

There is a registry tweak for a manual rotation or assign a button. Take a look on this thread:

if I try to change the key

hk_local machine - System - GDI - Rotation

HideOrientationUi change in key 1 to 0

with CeRegEditor

tells me Access denied!

I now have the:

I8000NXXJD3

I8000XEEJD5

I8000XXJD1

JC1 when I was able to change the key

Why?

because you need to unlock the registry first... find that tab and click it...then you will be able to edit..
