Omnia 2 Windows 6.5 upgrade

Hello All,

can someone please tell me how to upgrade my Omnia II to Win 6.5 and new ROM? This phone is purchased in India.

I wrote to Samsung India customer support and they are telling me that it cannot be upgarded on the web. My version details are as below.

PDA: I8000DDII3

CSC: I8000INUII3

PHONE: I8000XXII4

I am currently in London and therefore need to upgrade using web.

Can some one help me with ways around this please? ;) I am willing to upgrade with custom ROM but completely new to Windows mobile so not sure about the steps to do it..

Read guide for flashing with Octans (the last version is 2.14) here :

then you can download the last unofficial Samsung ROM JF5 to use with Octans in this thread :

Use this solution if you want the LASTEST ROM available, otherwise install SAMSUNG Kies from Samsung Mobile site and use this program to find the last ROM available for your Country/Operator.

sumthin u wanna do first is make a sure back up ur phone, coz u wont get indian version of 6.1. its the best yet samsung released.

so incase of wanting the warranty in india and if u wanna go bck to 6.1 make a back first.

then try any lite rom widout stuff in it on 6.5 windows if u lik 6.5 then flash it to something which we call a custom rom or u mite want to flash wid singapore released version of windows 6.5 from samsung....

lancez or shadow angel do a gud job wid dere rom's, u mite wanna try their's.
