Huawei will release Android 2.1, its just a matter of time.

And the Pulse Mini ROM will never work 100%... so its kinda waste of time IMHO.

Haha, I know it would be slow, it's not a proper rom.

And yes I do use windows, 7 to be exact.

You'd cry if you saw how fast it was :P

I'm so excited for 2.1 now, so much more thought out!

The feature I'm missing most is an alarm sound for low battery....

I have my Pulse lying around in my room and don't even recognize that it ran out of battery...

That's really annoying!

2.1 with this ROM is almost certainly going to be much much slower than with the official one, and battery life worse. The ROM is in a constant state of shitting itself over mismatched buffer sizes and graphics drivers.

Plays music like a champ.

I'll be honest, only the scrolling is slow, the rest is pretty swift.

Scrolling was slow with the original T-mobile Pulse Rom too. This was vastly improved by the MCR.

Any thing wireless = not working

3D Acceleration(I think, neocore won't run, says it does not support accelerated graphics.) = Not working

Playing MP3s = Perfect

Scrolling = Slow

Live Wallpapers = Slow EDIT: Polar clock runs perfect.

That's what I can see anyway.

edit: Accelerometer = Nope

Camera= No.

edit2: Video = No go.

when i got to recovery->restore nand, und browse the nandroid file i became: "could not open sdcard/nandroid/nandroid".

flashing with flash zip is also not possible, but its quiet logical, while its an nandroid backup.

so, how do i get this rom "working".

about expectations:

I am happy when I get the last.fm player to work in this Android 2.1 (so , I will need WiFi :-( )

for the rest I will just experiment (learning by doing) over time until the Huawei releases their Android 2.1

( but I am not sure when the final release by Huawei will arrive, I mean they postponed now a few times :-( )

WiFi: didn't work with the 1.5 wifi files, so didn't include them

nothing more done yet on the ROM itself

so, since I still have no wifi files from someone who said wifi is working, here my md5sums:

btw: my dmesg tells me all time:

Open the nandroid file with WinRAR.

as Rem1x said, the nandroid is packed (with tar)

one should copy the content to a place the recovery tool can read from (e.g. where you can flash normally your update.zip)

e.g. on my system it is /sdcard (but I have also seen to be it: /system/sd )

so, in the end you should then have such a dir structure:

/sdcard/nandroid/mem=128M/BCDMRS-20100503-2329/

and there you should have these files:

boot.img

cache.img

data.img

misc.img

nandroid.md5

recovery.img

system.img
