Hi msdl28712,

Did you get any further with this? Can you read back and check my post (994) and tell me if it is the same issue? (I think it is, but I have a few more details there).

Can you tell me what ROM you currently have on your phone? I have a new Telstra one (AU) which may be causing the issue.

Anyone else (Paul?) able to offer any hints?

Thanks.

Heeeeeeeeeeeelp!

I'm determined not to goto bed without setting up A2SD.....and I've found the thread with instructions.....

But one simiple line in it is giving me jip.....

entering the recovery menu by the ./recovery-linux.sh commad...........

I used the tiny linux iso method for my original rooting and it made it if anything too easy. I just bashed a couple of scripts courtesy of paul as per instructions.

However it doesn't look like ./recovery-linux.sh is built into the iso.........

or am I missing something?

I opened terminal and tried ./recovery-linux.sh and sudo ./recovery-linux.sh

.........

no joy.....

can someone explain how to get into the recovery menu? other than that I'm ready to go. Gold-card in, most recent a2sd version on the card and pretty sure I understand the other steps.......

Problema solved I was being a silly.

Has anyone else noticed voice search functionality seems gone

Used to be linked to a hard button -search button press and hold but now nothing happens

Assuming it was some program that came preinstalled and that I might b able to fix this if I knew what it was called.

Hi. I too want to install aps2sd via the tiny Linux method. How did you achieve this? Have the issues with aps2sd now been resolved as I see Paul has removed the link....

Cheers Andy

Hmm...ok, thanks. I guess that eliminates two of my most likely suspects. (Handset ROM version, and bad Linux CD). Do you reckon your gold card is ok? What PC? (Mine is Asus motherboard and DVD Writer)

I guess we will have to wait for Paul or some other kind soul to shed some light. (I may be able to try another PC in the next few days actually)

That problem is your goldcard isn't working.

Urg. Thanks Paul. Weird, because I have used it before successfully. Unless the CID changes each time you install firmware? I'll re-created it.

See im not to sure about the goldcard did it as per the instructions found in the link

http://android.modaco.com/content/general-...ing-a-goldcard/

seemed to go okay both on a 2gb kingston and 4gb sandisk but i just dont dont know is there a way to test.

i did check the iso image all seems okay except the testimage.zip cannot be extracted by windows or winrar is this correct allthough its a zip file

I have been reading you could choose Legend which is available in the current v1.08 of PSAS

and the goldcard should work on your Desire anyway.

I am loathe to pay 30€ for the software myself for one goldcard though, the licence appears to allow you to create 15 gold cards

What this means for us,If you can buy the licence?

Then MoDaCo can host the tool instead of being dependent on others

Guest Paul

Indeed, it means that providing it's not too expensive, it can be funded by Ad Free / Plus subscriptions and be provided to MoDaCo members negating the need to buy the full PSAS suite (which is overkill!)

Will it only be available for Ad-free/Plus users?

Guest Paul

Let's see if I can buy / licence before we worry about anything else (but if it will have a cost that will be covered by subscriptions then that would make sense). We'll see!

For now I just want to find a way to get goldcards without installing / buying full PSAS which is overkill and requires Windows...
