I've just got a Legend from Vodaphone with software number 1.23.161.1 What are the advantages from rooting the device? Its my understanding that I could root the device and upload a new ROM onto the phone. This would then leave the phone with a origional HTC based ROM and not one that vodafone have any input in. Am i correct? If so, what are the advantages of doing this? Thanks Ben

Thanks Ben after the root, you can install some prog~ to your TF card, so you can save the some space for RAM secondly, root is the highest linux system administrator privileges, as to whether the root, you can choose it :P
