Just to update anyone who's interested, I have won my dispute on paypal and got my money back. I'd like to say that the only reason I went for them the first time was because they seemed to be endorsed by the modaco community.

Glad you got you money back. I have also raised a dispute with Paypal as there were no codes for my HTC Wildfire, but another 2 days until I can escalate it. I also went with HTCCode because of the Modaco connection.

Paul, did you ever get a response from this joker?

like an idiot, i too just fell for this site!

Was in a rush and needed an unlock code; quick bit of googling, and low and behold the site has positive feedback (and lots of negative feedback, if you do more digging!), and even a mention from Paul himself.

So i jumped in, got scammed and already put in dispute with Paypal.

Cant believe i fell for this! No really, i can't! I never fall for the scam sites, but i did today, its amazing what happens when you are under the weather and in a rush.

So, i have an idea anyways, its called project shut down HTCCODE.com.....anybody want to help?

I haven't had the greatest of times with them. After my code didn't work for my desire, I contacted the owner. After 3 emails over a 3 week period, I filed a paypal dispute which I lost! I continued to email the admin and yet still no reply. I seem to have been screwed by both parties. I'm amazed the site is still endorsed by MoDaCo with all of the complaints in this thread and others.

I just started talking with one of their LIVE chats (any), she put me through to the legal team. You can also email the legals at [email protected].

I have already done so, and my complaint has been forwarded to the team that do the Account Reviews. If the site has violated their Terms of Service, it could possibly have action taken against it.

I will not rest until i get my money back or the site is shut down.

I hate SCAMS!!

i am talking live with this idiot now!!

He sent me email, asking for my IMEI number etc, and he will send manually!

I wont be sending him anything again.

I am talking with him via the LIVE support at his site.

UPDATE:

I dont think he realises who is is messing with :)

He just tried the 'your phone is NEW' and i need to pay another $15

Just got a FULL REFUND, off this guy. His attitude stinks, i will send my full live chat log to his hosts. He even threatened to post my paypal details, saying he knows how to deal with people like me. Yeah, people that know how to get their money back quicker than quick sh1t!

Please guys do not use this site, the guy is a cheeky fcuk

I asked Paul to remove the Stickied post with a link to his wonderful site.

So, i got a result, you just need to know how to treat and deal with this kind of person

Some good news, I just tried to go to the site and Chrome tells me not to, that it's a malware infested site.

This might just be a dodgy advert. Can we report it somewhere as an actual scam site?

Well, i submitted all my communications to his host (mentioned above) so i hope his site gets taken down.

Paul does not seem to want to reply to my requests to have the sticky thread in the modaco forums taken down. In my eyes, he is supporting this fool.

It is very clear that the site cannot provide what it says, and is therefore at the VERY LEAST is trading under false pretences. This is FALSE ADVERTISING to entice customers in.

Some call it mis-selling. Either way its wrong and in most cases, illegal!

Fix it Paul please.
