Guest starchildx Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 I'm very happy about the news. Hope he will release the guid soon. Bye Bye o2 Branding and hello app2SD =) what o2 branding ? i have a desire from o2 too, but the rom isn't different to a normal htc rom....
Guest lanxton Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 what o2 branding ? i have a desire from o2 too, but the rom isn't different to a normal htc rom.... The most annoying difference to me is an internal change.. disable the stand-alone GPS functionality and make everyone buy an internet plan to support their aGPS feature. They also turn the max volume down about 40% and force us to wait for updates.

Guest Paul Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 You won't be able to downgrade your bootloader - it won't let you, regardless. 0.80 root isn't available yet. P
Guest Dynanik Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 For real??? 40% more Volume with another Rom? Where did you get this information? I think the O2 Device is very loud on maximum...
Guest m1ilo Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 You won't be able to downgrade your bootloader - it won't let you, regardless. 0.80 root isn't available yet. P but the 0.80 root will be available soon, right? i dont really care about root, i just want to have a generic rom without a branding on my phone. do you have a generic rom for 0.80 you could share?

I suppose these settings are more provider specific. Sorry, I was not referring directly about O2 ROMs. Here in NL the providers have made more changes it seems.

Guest m1ilo Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 i'm even more confused :P he refers to his post before... "0.80 root isn't available yet." ... should be something like "0.80 is possible, but not available for download yet" :D
Guest Rdy2Go Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 You won't be able to downgrade your bootloader - it won't let you, regardless. 0.80 root isn't available yet. P And what about the different ROM versions using the same booloader (0.80)? For instance ability to downgrade from 1.19.x.x ROM do 1.16.x.x ROM? Who can tell if not you, master.
