Flashing O2 with Win XP over VMWare over MacBook Pro

Hello every one. I´m a new O2 user and I´ve been reading some posts from several webs about the problems that we can get from flashing our baby using a VMWare machine. I´m a Mac user with VMWare Fusion where I have setted up a new Win XP machine to flash my mob, but I don´t know as long as it can be a problem rather than a solution. Please, if anyone has flashed the O2 using this way make me know please.

Bad idea. I'd never flash in a VM. You're adding additional layers of uncertainty. I suggest you run bootcamp with XP for flashing.

This what I have heard from many forum. I have another computer with windows but I´m afraid it´s out of date. I will update the OS in order to flash the mob.

I saw that you have an O2 too, could be so kind as to telling me a stable cooked Rom and the link to download it. I´m newbie in these topics and am a bit lost. Thank you in advance.
