Problem with Touch Player

At completely uneven intervals, audio playback just randomly stops for me on Touch Player. To get it to start again, I just turn on the screen.... Does anyone know of this problem? Using a JD3 rom

Yes, it happens to me as well. You must have turned on the Etiquette function, where the phone will turn silent whenever you put the phone face down. The motion sensor in i8000 is too sensitive, you sometimes put your phone in the pocket and when the phone moves about too much, sometimes the sensor will mistake you as putting the phone face down and mute the sound. The only way to get back music is to turn the phone on. To avoid that, turn the Etiquette function off. I actually use the Etiquette function quite a lot, especially in meetings or at night, so I choose not to turn it off. Lucky this only happens to me not very often, so I just live with it and turn the phone on/off again whenever I lose the sound.
