Daskalos 6.5.5 ROM build 23566 (Full) and MEGAlite

hey all,

i need a favor. i have installed daskalos 6.5.5 rom...but my keys are not working properly...i mean i cant use the ? and the special symbols, its garbled.

i know this is a problem with the csc file. i have tried il2, il4, ik4 csc but still i am not able to get it to work.

i have an indian b7610...probably it had b7610xxij2 csc, can anyone help me out with this...i searched for the forum but couldnt find it.

guys from india, which csc version u had when u bought the phone....my phone part says its b7610nxxij4. and i forgot to note my csc...please dont tell me that i had screwed up :D

'XX' CSC doesn't help, you will need to select your language settings. Please post a pic/image of your keyboard in a new thread and we might be able to help you! :P

sorry i couldnt have a seperate thread for this. i will create a seperate thread again (currently am testing daskalos new rom smile.gif )

Daskalos pleeease, can you try to install Connected Home to this Lite version and test it? CABs from i8000 repository doesn't work for me. Or can you include ConnHome in Lite version too. Its just 5MB more on Storage, no processes running so RAM will stay 93MB. Anybody can even delete this files from Windows folder, if they don't need it.

Or maybe to make once a while semiLite version, like I mentioned somewhere earlier.

With this full ROM my 7610 phone "eats" much more battery power, especially if GPS is on

Sound and Vibration feedback really annoys me, sound especially.

daskalos i think the sms cab is not updated.. it doesn't look like the one from jc2..

I had the same experience. Its not the sms menu with the tabs on top for Inbox, sent items, outbox etc.

Was that fixed already or nobody else having that?

using the meaglite version and it seems to be the best since 23547 - touch clock integration also works - which is better than in 23549 and even I found it not working in 23568!

what you needed to install from one of the old cabs is samsung call log and phonebook, since it seems not to be included into the Samsung Phone Pad for 6.5.x.cab - not a problem

but since it is not there, question: is there a reg-key where you can replace the samsung phonebook by contacts resp. the samsung call log by the standard WM call log (both are poutlook launch strings with parameters I guess), instead of installing the samsung apps for that?

the megalite runs good , but the apps not so good

i can not changed in the samung settings any things ;)

I'm using the megalite rom (which again is great) but unfortunatly Solitaire and Bubblebreaker are removed also. Does anyone have a cab of these two? Would be very much appreciated :)

I cannot open Wi-Fi connection both form Samsung Touch Wi-Fi (it shows opening Wi-Fi and a few second later, it clear recent message like I don't do anything without showing any error) and Wireless Manager (it try to open but not response anything).

What should I do?

Are you using megalite? Try to install the old Samsung Setting then the new one

seems exactly the issue: disabled samsung dial pad, and now obviously all call log and other features work and also caller ID is displayed correctly in locked and non locked. if WM6.5 lock screen is enabled, obviously it looks nicer (S2A), and the "I am busy call later" SMS feature is disabled as soon as samsung dialer is disabled, as well as video call.

that was not the case in previous versions of the samsung apps dial pad. so I assume that simply the contract-detail apps are missing in the current 23566 apps collection dial pad, phone pad and call log. tried to also install SMS feature but same thing - seems to be caused by the samsung apps cabs not including some contacts basic apps

any chance to fix that with new cabs? maybe a fixed (call log or phonebook) app is already out there

Can we not have a WM 6.5.5 build that strips out the samsung rubbish UI and SMS software etc. except the camera software (and leaves it with effectively a std WM build)...

Not Megalite but a lot lighter than Std.

That would just be the MEGAlite, only with the camera app pre-installed. Which should take you about 30 seconds manually. I don't really see the point of that :)

I removed the camera app because I'm experimenting on interchanging Camera app files and their dependencies (from different ROMs, even from i8000) to see if which of them will give better pictures...

Also, if hopefully a new official B7610 ROM will emerge, and let's say it has an updated camera app (drivers and stuff), I can "cab'd" them for the "old" megalites' to use...

do not connect d b7610.. jst turn off and press detect after that plug the usb cable on an off b7610... if it doesnt show the start it means u havent use the XP driver guide on it to detect as xp driver...

to use the xp driver, turn off ur phone and plug it on pc then browse to management to change the driver setting...
