Guest Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 can we safely install this (and other custom roms) on a hboot80- device after it's successfully being rooted?
Guest yabolek Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 (edited) Did you wipe before flashing? P I have the same problem. After first reboot every single app FCs. The ROM is not usable :P Wiped everything before install Edited May 7, 2010 by yabolek
Guest gforums Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 Okay, I went back to recovery console to perform a wipe of data and cache. I DID NOT reflash the custom rom - just rebooted. After a restart, the rom is working again! Restored some data using TitaniumBackup and perfomed an additional restart. Again all these errors popping up....
Guest jfsema Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 I have the same problem. After first reboot every single app FCs. The ROM is not usable :P Wiped everything before install Same to me. Thanks. JF
Guest ascito Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 (edited) Did you wipe before flashing? P I had the same prob, as said b4, after wiping everything worked. But, on second reboot, device was unable to start again and I got these crashing windows: - android.process.acore - processocom.google.android.apps.uploader Edited May 7, 2010 by ascito
Guest Mklass Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 Think I'll hold off creating a new rom until this FC issue is resolved.

Guest RiotRick Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 (edited) same here. first boot, everything OK after reboot, nothing working. Same error here. Fine at first boot. won't work after a reboot any more. Tried roms with and without a2sd. I wiped the device before flashing Flashed back a rom from the stock version of the kitchen. That works fine. Edited May 7, 2010 by RiotRick
Guest Scottland Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 Same problems with FC after reboot here also.
Guest yabolek Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 Seems like Paul needs some quality time-alone with the ROM :P I'll try eViL De-SiRe ROM over at XDA in the meantime.
Guest U-Man Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 Okay, I went back to recovery console to perform a wipe of data and cache. I DID NOT reflash the custom rom - just rebooted. After a restart, the rom is working again! Restored some data using TitaniumBackup and perfomed an additional restart. Again all these errors popping up.... Just a guess Did you cook a ROM without Sense and using Titanium backup for stuff that actually uses Sense? Would make sense you get errors then huh....like weather stuff and pretty much ALL settings for system apps that you've backed up. Try to only restore user apps.
Guest nukem97 Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 I had the same prob, as said b4, after wiping everything worked. But, on second reboot, device was unable to start again and I got these crashing windows: - android.process.acore - processocom.google.android.apps.uploader same here, desire's gone nuts after reboot fc on android.process.acore oh by the way this is my first post :P hello everyone :D
Guest Golgo Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 To everyone having problems with crashing processes after the dalvik-hack has been applied... what did I tell you? :P It doesn't work!
Guest h00pyfr00d Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 I had a similar FC after second boot a while ago. Tried wiping and flashing over and again and each time did the same or boot looped. In the end I partitioned the SD card again (to wipe the whole thing clean) and did the normal EXT2 - EXT3 then tried to flash the ROM again. Works fine after that.
Guest Mklass Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 Has any one got a logcat for the FC on the new Kitchen roms? This will help massively in diagnosing
