no idea about the wifi that won't start ?

Mine done that too mate, reflash but without the modified dalvik-cache A2SD script. That should sort it out, you just need to put up with your phone memory reducing as well now.

Think Paul mentioned something about a Kernel mismatch iirc

A second logcat, hopefully more helpful:

@roger999:

Connect the phone to your pc, run "adb logcat" or "adb logcat -d > log.txt" from the android sdk tools folder.

Then switch your phone on...

Same here - lots of FC's on a Baked image for me, but pre-baked image is ok and working as it should.

I'll hold off for a while i think :P

Ooooh... the Desire has a crappy 40MB cache partition. That's our problem!

Uploading fix now.

Fix online - re-bake! :P

In r2 we're going to have to move to an odex'd build to save /data space. No biggie since theme apps can't write /system anyway.

this mean the dalvik-cache is removed from /cache/

back to /data/dalvik-cache

guess since we cant write to system the dalvik-cache cant be moved to /system/sd/cache?

argh... no write acess is so inconveniant

seriously what uses all our space up

how big is the /system partition must be wasting a lot of space

/data 147mb

/cache 40mb

/system 300mb? ish

and were only using 120+/- of it

is we put more apps in /system/app would save data space

No, PART of the dalvik-cache is put back.

It's an interim fix until I odex the build (r2).

Is this what caused my desire to get stuck in a Boot Loop?

ok, i just re-baked and flashed a rom including a2sd, 2nd boot is ok now :P, but when i try to install an app, it fails with an "Insufficient storage available" error. I have my sd partitioned as 1st partition fat32, then 2nd partition as ext3

EDIT: I repartitioned sd in recovery and a2sd is working ok now

It's a problem on your cyanogen port also, do you think you could fix it there too? :P

That's just a notification that your WiFi is on but not connected to a network.

is it necessary to ropartition sd card for every rom?

or can i just go to the ext partition and format it?

and is it beneficial to have a big swap file? like in standard linux systems? i.e arround equil to the ram 567mb

when i want to turn on by the widget, nothing happen, i go under setting "unable to turn on"...

it's not only a notification

boot to recovery mode , go to wipe, and select the top one (wipe/factory reset)... and the cache's

then flash the rom

reboot

Guys... just to let you know that X64 works ok as long as you run the bat "as administrator" from the right click context menu... don't ask me why this isn't necessary on X86???

Just now baked and flashed a rom with a2sd. Installed without a problem, keeps working after reboot.
