I really like the 'beach' wallpaper in the modaco rom. But I can't find the file because I would like to edit the picture slightly. Can someone post the jpg/png here?

It sounds like your phone is sim locked...

Not simlocked i only only buy handset only the problem it seems was that all the local transmitters went down for a bit got up this morning and all was fine.

Has anyone noticed any issues when charging? Since flashing mine will stop charging at ~90%. If I unplug it, and plug it back in again, it'll carry on charging until full.

Would it be worth clearing the battery info/stats in recovery?

Hi all,

I was wondering whether this custom rom has the cifs module ? Or do I have to search for a cyanogen rom ?

Thanks

When you apply the rom R2 with A2SD+, all you have to do is insert the correctly formatted sd card and you ready? or do you need to enable anything else to have a2sd? cheers

Nope, just a SD card with a FAT32 partition first and an EXT3 partition second.

Thank Paul,

If I already have apps installed in the main memory, all I would need to do is uninstall them and re-install them I reckon so they are running on the SD right? Cheers

I *think* it should automatically pull your apps from System Memory to the SD card when you first boot your phone with Apps2SD?

I could be totally wrong though!

I was just thinking, how about an option for the Nexus One lockscreen (or others if they're available)

Paul, please let us know if this will be possible in near future; )

I tried using GParted and partition first part of the SD card to fat32 and the second part to ext3. But when I load up the mobile the says it has a damaged SD card. Any ideas why?

The only way I could get A2SD working was to partition the card in recovery mode, and then flash. You will lose everything on the SD though, so backup.

But in recovery mode you can only partition swap, ext and fat32 in that sequence, no?

doenst matter.. just 0 for swap, 512 or 1024 for ext2 and rest fat32. then converts ext2 to ext3. worked for me since the r1 kitchen :)

no problems

Did exactly the same with the R2 kitchen and everything worked perfectly first time!!! ;)

Done a rather schoolboy error! ;)

Flashed r2 and ticked the radio update (after reading another thread the radio update is not reccomeneded for Orange)

Now i get silly network locked message

Which of the generic roms include the radio i need?

Or even better still is there an update file with previous radio version

I tried it and all the app icons became default non generic icons and in the Manage applications they appeared there but I couldn't uninstall them. I decided to wipe and start over again and some of the default apps went on the SD card so it appeared to be working.

Any new app however are still installing on the phone memory. Any thoughts?

Hi all,

Just arrived on this forum a couple of days ago.

I installed the custom rom. But after a few days I decided I didn't like Wavesecure.

Searched and tried many things. It does not uninstall.

Any suggesttions?

Go into recovery mode and uninstall?

Love the rest of the rom by the way. But I do not want to reintall all of my apps for the moment.

what i did now was I formatted the card as you mentioned, copied the rom on it and then applied after wiping all the data on the phone.

the phone booted up well but it still is installing on the phone memory.

any thoughts?

A2SD has nothing to do with the available remaining memory you saw through Advanced Task Killer.

ATK shows the remaining memory (RAM), but A2SD helps to reduce the use of the ROM, different things.

Sorry -- that makes good sense. However, from a different perspective why would the Stock Telstra "bloated" ROM have as much as 50mb more RAM available as compared to this custom ROM?

Is this ROM designed to utilize more RAM on purpose??

Hi,

I am using r2 with the Nivagtor Panel. Unfortunaly, it doesn't support maps brut version. Can I remove the NaviPanel somehow (Deinstallation isn't possible ...) or update to work with maps brut?

I have another Navigator apk here, but I can't overwrite the currecnt version on my phone...

thanks!

Are the apps in this up-to-date? e.g. Google Maps 4.2, latest Facebook app, etc?

Got paid access so gonna try one regardless but always like to keep reinstalls to a minimum :)
