I'm with r3 A2SD+ and I'm having strange batter % indication behaviour. Like to fall from 100% to 90% in a second, the very moment I disconnected it from the charger.

Anyone else?

have this with r1 too....btw..

r2 ROM is awesome, only Issue I have is the radio not flashing. it reads the radio during the flash but doesn't do anything and when looking in the software info it still has the ..11 radio running? Any reasons for this?

Its a HTC Desire issue, I think the Nexus One had the same issue. It happens sometimes, not all the time though.

would it be possible to get the Nexus one hack for the headphone volume (believe its kernel level) on one of the MCR rom's? I'm finding even on the custom rom's the volume even at max is way to low, if I listen to the radio walking to work I often cant hear it over the sound of cars on the road. Also has anyone had any joy with wifi teathering on the r3 rom? As in without having to mess around just turn it on and it works?

The analogue clock icon is your alarm clock. It will show if you have set an alarm.

Personally, I prefer the original alarm clock icon.

Ahh thankyou. Yes i think i prefer the other icon to given it looks like a damn clock.

an alarm should have a little bell.

Other then then the confusion there i like the rest of the icons.

i have a itech voice pro bluetooth headphone , it works fine with my old nokia N86 and Samsung i900

but with my Desire, the bluetooth headphone working badly, it has 90% chance disconnected from Desire when i am talking with friends...

is it a bug with MoDaco rom? or it's the fault design from HTC?

i don't think so! Bluetooth connectivity of my Hero was terrible, but now with my Desire it's gorgeous :)

Afraid it's not installing for me.

Tried pulling QO out of the R2 zip myself before with similar results. Thanks anyhow :)

Anybody had any issues with going into settings > accounts an sync? Mine soft resets! I originally removed the stocks app, tried baking a new rom and installing but the problem still exists (stocks also doesnt appear in the apps menu).

desires bluetooth is buggy as hell

The stock ROM' BT radio is just fine, not a glitch. Using it all the time via A2DP (Sony Ericsson headset) and OBEX.

So, issues must be searched in specific device(s) coupling.

Its a shame you removed the launcher2 home screen in r3 as that was my preferred option, tried installing the apk and it was not allowed, what gives?/

OPS. You're right. :/

I saved it from r2 ROM via Estrongs File Explorer but never tried to install it back (I use Documents To Go). Sorry.

Just push it to /system/app when in recovery mode.

Mmmm.... this method perhaps is good to use for QuickOffice' APK above...

Yeah, was thinking that. Will try the R3 version I pulled later - not at home now to get into recovery.

Cheers though!

Quite a few of us had/have this issue.

Mine is fine after formatting my A2SD+ ext3 partition in linux before wiping phone and installing a fresh bake of R3. Not sure what the issue was, though in my original install I hadn't wiped and I had added back in Peep (having removed it in my R2 install) - given that it's involved in syncing for the contacts app I suspected it as the issue. If I had made an identical ROM I imagine it would have been fine.

Having a little trouble here and was wondering if anyone can help??? Have the Telstra model A8183 w/bootloader .75, created Gold Card, put the phone on FASTBOOT screen and then execute the "step1-windows.bat command and get the following results. Appears to be working, but then gets a 'FAILED (remote: 43 main version check fail)'. I have no idea what that means, but apparently nothing is happening.

Any assistance or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

c:\rootDesire>step1-windows.bat

RalphM, I don't think you're in the right topic, but nonetheless, are you running Vista or Seven x64 ? It seems that many people, including myself, have issues when trying to root with Vista or Seven x64.

One question: is flash supposed to work with video taking? With r3 it isn't.

I finally managed to root my desire, i want to install one of the pre-baked MCR R2 Roms, was wondering whether the battery mod in this post would work:

it came with the battery mod as well as the usb debugging 'cog' icon [edit] just noticed the new bluetooth icon too, grey when turned on, blue when paired/connected, and a green coloured GPS icon (similar to the wifi one)

[edit] i did the manual install method, but the signed update zip should work too

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=679937

do not install this on any odexed roms

what would be the best way to install it?

Also would like to ask about the installation about MCR, what do you mean when you say to "Perform a Nandroid Backup first"

Well I even tried under XP (booted up on a Mac (not vmware)) and still had the same issue.

Have you found any workarounds or our we just out of luck?
