Hi. I rooted my device OK, but when I try and flash this ROM, it goes into an infinite reboot loop - must have done it 20 times before I poulled the battery.

What should I do now?

Just boot up any Linux LiveCD, plug the Desire in USB disk mode and open GParted. :P

This man has "freed" our device, is buying a new server for the kitchen, is working hard to make our devices even better of what they already are... put a hand in your pocket and donate 12€ to thank him... if you cannot/don't want, use standard ROMs he serves to everybody, and be happy so...

Just went premium to get the baked version. Having said that download speeds are a tad on the slow side (50kb/s & i'm on a 100mb/s internet connection).

Im a student with alot of money problems atm so cannot afford to spend anything extra on things that I dont need to survive. If I had the money I would as I think Paul has done a awesome job on this.

The kitchen process has an inherent overhead (server and bandwidth) which means it's not feasible to make it available to everyone.

In fact only yesterday I ordered a new server to boost the speeds a bit!

Sorry to bump this, but I'm really keen to get the custom ROM.

I went premium, so I could bake my own, not sure if that's affecting it.

no n1 lockscreen, no n1 ui while calling i think. will try this mod again :P

@bbawden: try to repartition your sd. Had this error once cause i had the wrong sd inserted (without a separate app2sd part.)

I should think not pal.

The servers r taking a strain with just the paid up people so add all the freeloaders & it would ruin the site.

Advice should b free but if u use this site for custom Rom & themes etc then why not pay £10 a year & help the site grow?

I used to just take but when I used to read some of the ungrateful comments from other freeloaders I thought the least

I could do was pay.

Running any website costs money so if u pay the £10 or £30 & can enjoy the same things I can.

I just done the Radio Update on my Orange UK HTC Desire and now I can only get a screen saying "Network Locked". Do I need to unlock my phone to fix this? If so, how/where?

I just ordered an unlocking code from http://htcunlock.com/ to see if that will fix the problem. When it comes through I will tell you if it fixes my problem.

1: FAT32

2: ext3

3: linux-swap

Yet I still get it stuck in a reboot loop. Does it need to be ext4?

do you know why, even after rooting my device, whatever ROM I install, I only have English and Franch and I have to use MoreLocale2 to get Italian???

To revert radio, just re-do the root process, and don't apply the radio.

No, use ext2 or ext3 and remove the swap.

For flashing the (kitchen) rom, until now I'm executing the rooting-method until I get into the Amon-Ro green on black boot screen and only then I choose to flash ( a .zip on the sd-card).

Is this correct?

It seems that step2-xxxxxx.sh of the rooting process keeps pushing the rootedupdate.zip while I'm pretty sure I don't need that any more (since I allready have a rooted device).

Just wondering?
