An English 6.5.x lite ROM with Rapid81 and nOObody's Sense2.5

I read with interest on the white square issue, which I like to feed back.

Surprisingly I am not facing this issue with your ROM on JE1.

Currently I am in Guangdong and all 5 days forecast is thunder storm, the animation including lighting flashes over the entire screen. After the animation there are no white square on my screen. The main weather show dark cloud with lightning. the other 4 days weather also show dark cloud with lightning.

Hope I am not barking on the wrong tree.

Me only flash the PDA... just a beginner in flashing rom. :D

first off GREAT THX for the rom, this surely makes my day much better with sense on my today

but just 1 thing, although i can display chinese correctly in the browser and explorer, the chinese character in facebook and google map all turned to square/rectangle fonts. I presume it may be a font problem and tried to install chinese fonts to my windows, but it juz doesn't work

so, jus wondering if there is any fix for this?

Just change your region setting to China(PRC) then reboot.The problem will go away.

how do i enable samsung's default threading sms?

It seems to be disabled in this rom

would really like the samsung sms apps since it's quieter

i know there is an sms-mms application in the rom, and i made a shortcut too

but the fact that the windows sms application comes up from time to time means that the sms-mms application is not used as default

but when i check the registry, the dll is using the mms.dll

which is rather strange, since mms.dll is the one used by the samsung sms application

just wanna know if anyone has come up with any solution yet?

and sorry for reposting, seems someone has already asked abt this thing too, but really wanna know if there's any progress? anything that i missed? (coz seems that there's no answer to this question)

Try the JE2_23569 version.Samsung's SMS-MMS is added in the start menu.You could use it easily as you want.

Yes, it's 6.5.x.Actually it's 6.5.5.I just used JE2's OEM.Try it and you'll see it's almost as the same as 6.5.3, but no more white squares any more.

Sorry, I can't give you the screenshots as I've installed lots of apps I need.

It's almost the same as my old version.But the program RAM is 8 MB less as the JE2's OEM is used.

so it seems :P i don't want to use overclocking or maximum cpu performance, and for now sense doesn't seem that fast and smooth with regular settings. and also i want 6.5.X

so, atm SB series seem the best ones for me.

i'm not gonna try to change your mind, but shadow's and kydkylin's sense ROMs are very close to HTC's performence, i set poerformence at normal and everything seems fine to me. the only problem we have is the damn RAM. give it a try.
