Problem With Flashing Jd3 Rom ..Any Help??

Hello guys i've problem with flashing jd3 rom...the problem is flashing couldnt finish ..the device just freez at this point (Langauge Setup Please Dont Turn Of The Device )..Any Help ?? :P

maybe try to use another CSC file? try the last one which is a AIO (have a lot of versions..) and when you are at octans you chose- I'v flashed with EURJD9..

ps: are you using a rom from this forum? I'v tested it with twu2 lite rom..

I Did Use This One But Still The Same ....Its Really Werid problem i did falsh alot of roms but this's the first time i get this problem , so plz guys any help

try the newer version of octans and other rom... try the twu2 lite rom it's very good

how many minutes do you wait when it install the language file, maybe it doesn't finish the installation, maybe you're impatience..

the phone doesn't boot right? :X try with octans mini and try to flash a oficial rom like JD6 the last from samsung with the last csc... maybe the rom you are trying is corrupt or something

i did try two oficial roms..JD1 , JD3 ..Both got the same problem..so i realized that coz of .MST file ...coz this's the first time i flash rom with this file every time i flash my roms with .nb0... :P :D

Maybe you have the problem with Hidden partition on 'My Storage' where image .mli file (part of .mst file) is copied during flashing the rom? And that's why you could have a problem with language setup.

First you have to check if it is the problem. You could probably use WinHex and see if you can access it on PC. There were some threads about how to do it. You should be able to see files and copy them to PC - if everything is OK.

You could probably, also use Pako's executor to read this partition. If you can read/dump it than everything should be fine.

If all this proves that everything is Ok, then I am not sure what could cause this issue.

When you loaded your mst file with Octans, did you checked "Preserve device's contents"?

If you did, maybe you should try again and leave it unchecked. And this will erase My Storage (I am not sure if it only erases contents or it also formats?) and maybe Hidden Partition as well. I know that it fixed the problem I had with Hidden partition when I was playing with it and made changes to partition table.

The other option you have, is to use .nb0 rom files as you have been doing before.

Then the issue not the My Storage, because If that's the problem, the flashing won't finish, the Octans just hang after a "Writing PDA image to flash".

I recommend you a hard reset and then flash it.

What was your OS version before you tried to flash the JD1?

Is it 6.1 or 6.5?

Try to flash a full ROM with eboot, MoviNAND, Phone and CSC.

- the OS is 6.5 (jc2)

- last time i did flash (MoviNAND,Phone ,CSC) and had the same issue..and about flashing the eboot i really scared to lose my device :P :P

I had the same problem with JD3, what i did to rectify this hanging ( Freezing) at the language installation screen was tick erase CSC in OCTANS 2.14 and Re flash CSC (i used JD3)

That work great for me :P

Just a quick suggestion, flash back to your offical rom and see whether will you succeed in passing the Language setup part. After that u continue to flash a newer version of the rom. Hope this helps :P
